This is such a big deal for Biden's cabinet, judges, committee investigations, etc. Even if Democrats defect on hard left policies, having the chairs is huge.

I don't know. I don't pretend to know his popularity. Honestly, probably not. I don't know that anyone is in a position to take him down. The young senators don't have the following and the next in commands (Grassley, Imhoff, etc.) I don't see as likely to make a move. He likely stays as minority leader. One can't really blame him for losing the majority. It was all Trump and his bomb throwing allies.

I'm curious about what tRump's next move will be after he's out of office. The GOP is going to have a big decision to make. If he tries to stretch this shit out like he's going to run again in 2024 the party will continue on a downward spiral. And they know that.

I'm guessing they will kick him to the curb pretty quickly.

They are in a tough spot.

I truly think they believe they will be able to keep tiptoeing around him and Paul Ryan or Cruz will be able to get the nomination in 2024 and things will return to 'normal'.
The problem is, trump and his family very much want 2024 and congressional seats. if anyone says anything critical, trump will have his masses primary them and install some sort of Qanon idiot. When the primary starts, the likes of Ryan or Cruz will be a bug on the windshield.
They cant just wait this out expecting it to fade. I really think they need a large-scale movement to reject trump which will likely uproot our national political system (which actually would be a good thing).

Trump is not going anywhere in the Republican Party. He will have a significant influence over their elections.

It's on the Dem Party to realize this and stick their thumbs in every wound they can.

I don't expect the Dem Party to go crazy left, but getting through a better healthcare plan and a better approach to the pandemic makes me fucking giddy on their own. Send green-based jobs to the Rust Belt en masse. Things like this should be able to happen.

The only way to squash the Covidiot from future influences is to impeach him tomorrow..

his aligning himself with trump was his downfall. i blame him completely for losing the majority.
