and to answer the op question, why should he come around to joe?
he shouldn't. he can hang on to his shrinking, dying party for all i care.
i keep seeing people posting this over the last couple years. what makes anyone think the GOP is shrinking or dying? trump got the second most votes of any candidate in history, did he not? how is that a dying party?

based on people who actually claim that they are republicans. they have had fewer and fewer people registering as republican the last several election cycle.
i guess it is now that people will vote for them in silence but not claim them by actually registering.

also, the people asking why they should give joe a chance are being disingenuous. they should have been asking this during the campaign. this after the election shit is basically people who would never consider giving joe a chance in the first place. otherwise they would have voted for him.

I vote Republican. I've been called everything from a Nazi to a KKK member for the past four years. I've been labeled the scum of the earth according to some of your contemporaries based on my voting choice. Some of you and your contemporaries never understood that it wasn't about embracing Trump, but it was a rejection of overreaching leftist ideas. But after four years in which I've seen a president taken out of context, heard about Russia for four years, heard how terrible and uneducated we all must be, and have been demonized; but now I'm supposed to pretend like you are my friends and we are going to move forward? How does that work? I say Biden won, I don't buy into any conspiracy theory. Just like I don't think most democrats want to defund the police. But why, after four years should people like me all of a sudden welcome any olive branch from the same people that were beyond divisive from day one and constantly lumped me into every negative category they could think of? I honestly ask why?

I was surprised by how many votes Trump got and disappointed by how many people are still loyal to a party that continues to shun science and follow after fools. I'm not sure I could exactly say the party is dying, but I do believe it is endangered. Endangered in the same way a species or a pack or herd becomes endangered when it is out of balance with it's surroundings, when it's collective members make foolish choices and follow an alpha member that is clueless and unqualified.
The Republican Party may seem large now, but then so does a star when it becomes a red giant... just before it dies.

republican politicians and voters will say and do and believe anything as long as their precious 2A stays intact and Roe v Wade goes away.
Why can't you Americans do what us Canadian do...watch the election campaign 4-6 weeks or whatever it is (it's not long), vote, watch the results after 9 eastern, and usually know the winner by 10 and within a couple of weeks the winner is sworn in...the US will still being counting votes at Christmas...and no one (to my knowledge) protest the winner just after the election victory...the many of us including the those on the winning grumble (some of us more than others, LOL) off and on and we vote again 4 years later...repeat the process...

Doesn't sound like something CNN can churn ratings out of.

Liberals like myself have run out of olive branches to extend. I have no desire to welcome the likes of you anywhere in my life. Go think about what you and your ilk have done to society and the world. Come back when you have an apology.
I was a little pointed in my response but the short answer is...
"Joe" wasn't the one villainizing you. Random people were. Joe legitimately doesn't seem to stand for that.

The OP question is obviously a rhetorical one and I very much doubt the poster was ever really meaning to be seeking an answer to it. I.e., a hit and run post.
