    He will get pardoned.
A pardon will only protect him from federal charges. State of NY is his biggest concern anyway.

So what will he be indicted for first?

    Incitement of Insurrection?
    Tax Fraud in NY?
    Election Fraud in GA?

So the whole process was for nothing? Really? And we can expect him to start campaigning asking for cash from the 70+ million of his supporters as of yesterday!

Unfortunately in this country that is a matter of perspective.  Most R voters that I know were perfectly happy with the R senators upholding the Constitution and not legitimizing the "farce" of "a witch hunt" trial.  Some going so far as to say that dems need to learn to read the constitution.   That second impeachment sadly did nothing, but justify both sides into believing they are the right and virtuous ones.  Its a sad state of affairs

Importantly, it's locked into the history books, and we have a full accounting of the events on record, rather than disparate reporting, videos, etc.  While that may not seem important now, I think it will be in future years.  He was never going to be convicted, but D's had no illusions that he would.

Not for nothing...the House gave federal prosecutors a very nice road map

Unfortunately his biggest offense was dereliction of duty by violating his Oath of Office for not sending help or calling off his Maggots from the riot, which is one of the many reasons the proper remedy was conviction by the senate. The GOP invented this “constitutional” exception.

As a private citizen, his speech will be subject to the strict Brandenburg test. The likelihood of one Maggot getting on a jury and claiming you cannot prove trump directed imminent lawless action to prevent a conviction is high.

    The civil risk is real.

Riddle me this, what stand up billionaire, wanting to do good for NYC, runs ice “skating” rinks as a “cash only” business? Emphasis on “skating.”

Anyone hear about Elaine Chao? A certain Elaine married to a certain Moscow Mitchy baby? Not the poor dance move Elaine but the “we’ll do business with China” Elaine. Drain the swamp? My fucking ass. Suckers.
