Thanks for posting this. Been waiting for the tapper book. Democrats have become everything we complained about Trump eight years ago. Gaslighting and rampant dishonesty.

The yahoos on the left claiming the election was lost due to the price of bread, or the yahoos thinking a WI special election absolves the Democratic Party from lying to us, and the absolute loss of trust, need to read this book. This was a nightmare train wreck, and someone on the left needs to apologize to the country for the bullsht they pulled.

    …..

“And it’s all Biden,” Plouffe said. By deciding to run for reëlection and then waiting more than three weeks after the debate to bow out, Plouffe added, “He totally fvcked us.”

The real issue wasn’t his age, per se. It was the clear limitations of his abilities, which got worse throughout his Presidency. What the public saw of his functioning was concerning. What was going on in private was worse. While Biden on a day-in, day-out basis could certainly make decisions and assert wisdom and act as President, there were several significant issues that complicated his Presidency: a limit to the hours in which he could reliably function and an increasing number of moments when he seemed to freeze up, lose his train of thought, forget the names of top aides, or momentarily not remember friends he’d known for decades. Not to mention impairments to his ability to communicate—ones unrelated to his lifelong stutter.

It wasn’t a straight line of decline; he had good days and bad. But, until the last day of his Presidency, Biden and those closest to him refused to admit the reality that his energy, cognitive skills, and communication capacity had faltered considerably. Even worse, through various means, they tried to hide it. And then came the June 27th debate against Trump, when Biden’s decline was laid bare before the world. As a result, Democrats stumbled into the fall of 2024 with an untested nominee and growing public mistrust of a White House that had been gaslighting the American people.

You are so tiresome.  Who is defending Biden staying in the election?  Who is defending Biden's team from being transparent? No one.  You can be all mad about what happened in 2024 or you can get a fucking life and move forward.  It's your call, but don't come at me with your passive aggressive bullshit.

"Someone on the left needs to apologize...".

Okay @Halifax2TheMax , can you PLEASE apologize to LERX (and the country) already so we can move on and we don't have to read the constant stream of whining that makes these pages intolerable so often?  If I had known he just wanted someone on the left to apologize, then we could have made this stop a long time ago.
agreed....always the victim and the attacker is nowhere to be found.

How long have most of us been saying that Biden should have bowed out early? I don't recall anyone defending the decision.

I still think Biden would be a better president even if he is in a wheelchair and only working three hours a day.

I would but seeing how thoughts and prayers worked for school shootings, I might have to cancel my membership after tonight’s show when Eddie blesses the ICE agents. If he doesn’t, you can pay me tomorrow for an apology on Tuesday.

I’d take Brandon on life support and his “shadow” government over the current authoritarian clown car running things into the ground.

Pray for me if you must but please don’t preach the gospel to me.

Perfect.  Thank you.  It's all over now.

Bullshit. You folks complain all the time about dishonesty from the right.

This is the democrats being dishonest. Covering up the truth. And now covering up their lies. Just like the other side.

This has to be the most shortsighted political comment of all time, congratulations. If you think it’s over…
… who made the decision that he stay in the race? It obviously wasn’t Joe Biden.

…Who made the decision to trot him out onto that debate stage?

… Who made the critical decision that they do nothing for three weeks after the most horrendous debate performance of all time?

… Who made the decision that the nomination was gonna be handed to Kamala?

…. Who made the decision that there would be no voting for the Democratic nominee, and therefore handed the freedom and democracy argument straight to the Republicans?

The problem with these nonsensical comments on this page is there needs to be accountability.

Without accountability the same people will be making the decisions next time. I can’t believe the insanity on this forum.

ultimately Joe did. Blame who you wish about whatever was said , whatever advice was given.

Few willingly step down from power.... not when , in theory, it can be retained.

    seems fairly simple to me.

It’s all a deflection from blaming the true culprits, the Republican Party, those who didn’t vote and those who voted for COOTWH. They all bear responsibility and own what we have now. Them and them alone. Some on here want to hold the Dems to a much higher standard and level of accountability rather than face the reality of the repubs being the party of white, Christian nationalists and authoritarians. Based on some posts, some posters relish what we’ve become. Some even believe their white male privilege will spare them.

What do you call a far right authoritarian lifting sanctions on a country ruled by a former member of ISIS? But we’re supposed to be worried about the Dems lying to us about Brandon.

It’s that Dems expect this standard from the other side, but expect nothing when the political crime of the century is committed on behalf of their own nominee. So the same political operative culprits will be around making important decisions next time. I posted important questions, but democrats are too tired and culting to want answers.

A false comparison. Nothing the dems have done rises to the level of the current fascist administration. Nothing.

Political crime of the century?  Must have forgotten J6, election denialism, constant lying etc.  I mean I question the sanity of anyone that lumps a fine upstanding centrist like @mrussel1 with the left.  It’s almost like some people are looking for an excuse to abandon democracy and join MAGA.

If some people think that a doddering old fool and his coterie trying to cling to power, what literally every elected official outside of George Washington has done throughout the history of the United States is the political crime of the century, I believe critical thinking must finally be dead in America.

Perfect.  Thank you.  It's all over now.

Bullshit. You folks complain all the time about dishonesty from the right.

This is the democrats being dishonest. Covering up the truth. And now covering up their lies. Just like the other side.
I was lied to believe that Jake Tapper was a Democrat. But tell me what more should I have done? What more did you do exactly? Whining like a b* in 2025 on a PJ board is so brave. What a stand to take with that amazing hindsight.

Bonded part just more dishonesty from the far left. If you have a comparison, you should have shared it. Too late now.

I guess you don’t have the ability to distinguish success from failure. J6 was a failed attempt at overriding the right to vote. The violence was ugly, but the attempt failed.

lying about Bidens condition, waiting a critical three weeks to act when it was clear as day he was not competent, and then appointing the nominee without a vote. A clear and distinctive pattern to hide the truth and deny us of our rights. And now they are covering it up. Who did what? Why was denying our vote so successful and why are so many democrats falling in line? You got an example of that occurring elsewhere?

Sorry there is no comparison. I guess the faithfull are too tired to see the truth.

Oh there’s plenty of new grift, graft, corruption and unconstitutionalism for Dems to let go of the past. Like stopping the vote count in Flo Rida in 2000, 44 million missing emails related to Iraq war or Russia, Russia Russia in 2016 and subsequent J6.

Sure, let’s move on. To full on authoritarianism.
