Like others have said, it's the only one I didn't like at ALL when I got the album but it slowly grew on me and it's now my favourite. I think it and marker have the most poetic songwriting on the album and every time I listen to it another line clicks with me and makes sense - 'a wave will break on me today' was always my favourite line on the album before I even liked the song.

Parachuter

As my name implies, I love the song. When I first heard it, it WAS the syncopated strumming of the guitar that peaked my interest. I even told a good friend that it was my favorite so far on the album, and this was before I read the lyrics. Put together it's so sweet, and his voice...ah. Although I can't think of anyone specifically I'd sing it to, this song of love is an exact representation of how I feel.

Love the song--one of my favorites on the album. It really just clicked with me when I had my stereo cranked up and I was sittin there singing along to it and my girlfriend came and snuggled up during this song. It all made perfect sense!

To me, this song is about a day, 2 years ago when I saw my ex-girlfriend for the first time in nearly two years (we had our first relationship 4 years ago). We had been talking on the phone and such and that day when I saw her, I still had feelings for her and I tried to tell her that she was always someone hwo was special to me and that she'd impacted my life. A couple months later we were together again, but then she left me again...that was two years ago almost.
