Interestingly though, I read where EVH thinks he got his tongue cancer (which then spread to his esophagus) from holding metal guitar picks in his mouth over many, many years. He also claimed that his lungs were fine and cancer free so go figure. Regardless, smoking is bad news! Rest In Peace Eddie Van Halen.
Smokers will find ways to minimize the dangers and repercussions of their addiction/weakness.
