Isn’t today Jackie Robinson Day? Wow, shocking news... Just shocking
RIP
yeah, really strange coincidence that he starred in 42 and died on the day.
I also heard yesterday was the creator of Black Panthers Birthday
i just read he’d frequently visit St Jude’s and meet with Kids all while battling this terrible disease
seems like the good do die young unfortunately
i watched a video of him and a panel of other actors from i think Black Panther, and he had been in contact with two little boys who had terminal cancer. they desperately were trying to hang on for release date. they didn't make it. he couldn't speak about it for a good 30 seconds he was choking up.
a very fine man indeed.

yeah that was pretty weird. 42 was the first movie I saw him in. It was pretty good from what I recall. I only saw it once in the theaters.

About three weeks I wanted to go to movies but I wanted to go to a drive in movie here West Palm Beach. The only movie of interest I wanted to see was Black Panther even though I've seen it 4-5 times. My friend that I took to see it had not seen it at all. She liked it even though she's not into action movies.
It was fun seeing CB on the screen again, he certainly knows how to be captivating when on screen. Just as he did playing James Brown life story. He will certainly be missed for his exceptional acting as well as his humanitarian side.....rest in peace.

just watched black panther again, this time with my family. my 11 year old daughter kept asking us to pause it as she couldn't understand the accents. my wife thought the action scenes were too long. my 14 year old kept checking snapchat.
oh well. at least i like it.

I'm not a fan of super hero movies but loved him in 42, as I am a fan of anything baseball. Unfortunately that was such an ugly time in baseball history. Very sad, way too young. And very courageous to deal with his personal illness and still be able to achieve such success. Very admirable. As sad as his passing is, his death will bring awareness to colon cancer so he will continue to make his mark on this earth after his passing.
Don't come closer or I'll have to go
