rediscovering Pearl Jam songs...

Did it happen to you that when you were young (...and some times stupid) you discarded a PJ song, or a couple of songs, because it didn't sound like you want it, or didn't evoke any feeling at all...but now you can't stop listening? In my case are "I Got ID" and "Long Road"... I don't know why exactly, but when i got "Merkinball" i didn't appreciate it at all.

What's your "i didn't like it" song that now you enjoy more that ever?
"I let go of a rope, thinking that's what held me back...and in time i've realized, it's now wrapped around my neck."

    Inside Job. It just clicked once when I listened to it driving home in the middle of the night. Loved it ever since.

    I didn't start listening to the band's bootlegs until about a decade ago and there are quite a few songs that I appreciate much more once I listened to various live versions. Five songs that come to mind are Release, Blood, Long Road, Present Tense, and Parting Ways.

    First one that comes to mind is Parachutes. I wasn’t a big fan until I heard it live then something clicked

     Jesus what a mistake. I was too young to appreciate it.

    I was similar enough with those two songs. I thought (and still do really) they were badly recorded. Live though, they are just exceptional.

    Immortality.  Never was a big fan but the Benaroya Hall version got me into it and now I love it.

    Pretty much the entire RA album.   Still have no love for a couple on that one but it took me years to appreciate that album.
