I’m all for this poster purchase with ticket. Even if it was a blind purchase and was a terrible terrible poster I would still want to collect it as it would be from a show I had attended. And then would free up more time to see sights and sounds of city.

They want you standing in line. Because once you've been in line for an hour, you're going to buy a t-shirt, some stickers, and a hat to go with that poster.

And they won’t have to do customer service for a couple thousand posters per show, let alone hear complaints about shipping prices.

Agreed, but usually I get couple t shirt a poster and stickers per city and it costs like 4 hours in line. I feel like that time could be better spent in said city putting into local economy and the merch machine is still taking all of my money. And being from Canada i still would prefer the shipping opposed to hanging around In line all Morning (that being said I have met some cool people in the merch line whom I still keep in touch with)

LOL yep. "My poster has a soft corner, can you send me a replacement?" At the merch stand, it's take it or leave it
