I’m afraid it’s never going away. Just like the flu doesn’t go away..

Fauci hasn't been right about 1 thing since March so take it with a grain of salt. He is big pharma incarnate.
    Wrong

Exactly and official statistics says that the seasonal flu is more deadly and with a 99.97% survival rate and that's if you're one of the rare unlucky ones to actually get it I think I'll take my chances lol

But also, most people have been smart. They've been social distancing, wearing masks, avoiding unnecessary trips/vacations, etc.

The science says that when people congregate in large groups without wearing masks, the numbers spike. But then again, science seems to be difficult for approximately half the country.
Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"

If you think people are bitching now, just wait until Europe gets a tour and the states don’t because the US has handled this pandemic like a 3rd world country.
Actually, we've handled it WORSE than a third world country.

I think Europe will see Pearl Jam next year. Like someone else said - life can’t stop forever. Obviously it’s not guaranteed, but I think the tour will happen.

Unfortunately I don’t see any gigs happening in the States in 2021.

2021 feels very optimistic. I liked the witty comment above that science seems difficult for many to comprehend. I'd add history to that notion too. Pandemics don't stop in 6 months to a year.
I think people should be able to request a refund whenever they want, and expect that money within 2 weeks.
As someone else mentioned earlier, I've also thought about not attending sporting events and concerts again. If not attending means I reduce the health risks to my family and senior-aged members of our immediate and extended family it's an easy decision.

Finally a thread with some reality. The only option is to adapt.  Check out the Metallica tour coming up at drive ins.

I’d rather wait than settle for Pearl Jam at a drive-in.

Wow really???  I'll take anything safe.  I'm gonna try like heck for Metallica. Hopefully my brother can score through the fanclub. 6 people per car/ticket.

To each his own; personally I have zero interest in watching a band play on a screen at a drive in.

Yeah... watching a concert film at a drive-in just won’t do it for me.  There is a synergy that takes place at a concert between the band and all the fans which is what lifts you to that magical place.  I can be patient and wait for the real thing.

Europe has a better shot than the US I think but life going forward doesn't necessarily mean that concerts have to come back in 2021.  It could be phased in.  We'll see.

The amount of concerts re scheduled for 2021
I can't see any of them happening.  I hope.to god I'm wrong. 10k or so fans in a sweaty venue in summer could be a nightmare.

I agree, Europe has a shot, US based on numbers doesn't look good.

I think the spread of COVID is going to get even worse when Trump loses the election and refuses to leave the WH and we all have to go to DC to kick him out.
