Finally a thread with some reality. The only option is to adapt.  Check out the Metallica tour coming up at drive ins.

I’d rather wait than settle for Pearl Jam at a drive-in.

Wow really???  I'll take anything safe.  I'm gonna try like heck for Metallica. Hopefully my brother can score through the fanclub. 6 people per car/ticket.

To each his own; personally I have zero interest in watching a band play on a screen at a drive in.

Yeah... watching a concert film at a drive-in just won’t do it for me.  There is a synergy that takes place at a concert between the band and all the fans which is what lifts you to that magical place.  I can be patient and wait for the real thing.

I think Europe will see Pearl Jam next year. Like someone else said - life can’t stop forever. Obviously it’s not guaranteed, but I think the tour will happen.

Unfortunately I don’t see any gigs happening in the States in 2021.

Europe has a better shot than the US I think but life going forward doesn't necessarily mean that concerts have to come back in 2021.  It could be phased in.  We'll see.

The amount of concerts re scheduled for 2021
I can't see any of them happening.  I hope.to god I'm wrong. 10k or so fans in a sweaty venue in summer could be a nightmare.

i wish i wish i wish i wish, i guess it never stops

I agree, Europe has a shot, US based on numbers doesn't look good.

I think the spread of COVID is going to get even worse when Trump loses the election and refuses to leave the WH and we all have to go to DC to kick him out.

The reason I don’t see a PJ tour in 2021 because they won’t want to have to cancel a second time. Unused merch and posters and booking etc has got to be a headache. Smaller bands who may need the cash or publicity may roll the dice. By by waiting for the all clear signal before even booking will cause An extra 6 month delay in the tour.

i heard an interview with David Crosby about 3 weeks ago. he said that he has rescheduled all of his 2020 dates into mid to late 2021. he said that he was personally told by his management team and a promoter that he "should not hold your breath on any 2021 US dates happening."

take it for what it is worth, but he did not sound very certain that the rescheduled dates were going to happen.

crosby had a liver transplant and is not in the greatest of health, so that could be a reason, in addition to unchecked covid outbreak.

Today I learned that David Crosby is still alive. When did that happen?

Get ready to get your 2021 refunds about 18 months from now.

Seriously don't understand the rush to get touring again right now.  Yes, would be great to see a show or two, but health comes first. I guess it's your funeral.
