The two @bradklausen APs arrived yesterday. Saw them this morning at 545 AM on the porch as I headed out for my run. Was thinking about opening and seeing them, great thing to look forward to during a long run! They are spectacular. Colors are really amazing and there are so many things to look at. Can't wait until they are flattened out and I can put in the portfolio to await framing so I can study some more. Really loved matching #5 on the prints, I know it makes no difference what the numbers are but I think that is my lowest AP# and love that they both have it. Very pleased with the purchase, for sure will be framed up and mounted side x side at some point in the not too distant future. Thanks!
Did Ames ever confirm how many GID variants there were for the Baltimore poster? I've heard there are 10 but does anyone know where this number originated? Someone dropped $1450 on ebay for one.

$1450??? Holy crap!
Maybe people are using their surplus tour income this year for posters.

I heard it from someone who heard it from someone who says they scored on the drop and was told by ames that was the edition size. So take that for what's it worth. It seems plausible though given how few seem to have popped up, unless they held a bunch back.

I’ve seen a lot of meh posters go for way too much. Some things never change.

When the "Ultra Limited" GIDs start to arrive it'll be interesting to hear from the buyers if these posters are numbered. If it truly is an edition of 10 then they should be numbered out of 10. If they are not numbered, that greatly effects the integrity - and value - of the edition. If there are an additional 10, 20, 30 or more GIDs that were printed, they can just be leaked out over time and who would know? And that would not necessarily be dishonest or unethical on Ames' part. I mean, what is the legal definition of "Ultra Limited" anyway?

I kind of agree. Not numbering the prints leaves the door open for these to trickle out the back door over time.

Wouldn't be the first or last time Ames has done this. Nothing really dishonest about it, though. They said "ultra limited" and never specified a number. So if the prints are not numbered, they aren't going back on anything they said. Also lol to asking for legal definitions. Only people who are saying there are 10 are those who heard from someone who heard from someone.
I wonder whether the Mumford, Munk One and Byous are now really close to selling out. Placed an order last Monday and again today and there’s around 1,100 difference in order numbers. Can’t imagine people are buying that many of the other posters. It must be getting really close

Why not just be transparent and number them? Then no one says you’re being shady.

It might "effect" the value positively by adding to the mystique. No one knows just how ultra-limited it is. May only be 4 or 5.

Better put some NASA approved reflective glass on your GID. Direct/passive sunlight might fade that shit and knock off $1470 off that $1500 'value'.

Ha ha! Are you suggesting I should've used the word "affect" instead of "effect"? You're probably correct! Even when I look them both up in the dictionary I still can't get it right!
Ames has released un-numbered variants for years and the world keeps spinning and the prints keep selling. Doubt this will be the one that changes anything, unless some legal eagles take them to court.

I’m pretty sure the guy who mentioned the legal definition was being sarcastic.
I still can’t think of a single reason why Ames doesn’t number these except that it allows for more copies to hit the market down the road.
