    Awesome enjoy Tokyo!
Im set to wander around an unfamiliar city for 21k this week as well
Not organized, just a long morning run.
Think I found a park where the bathrooms are accessible so should be good.

Hehe. Yeah. Was a bit tricky in Tokyo. Had to get from the Hotel to the "Imperial Palace" which had a route to run around it. Running in the city with the crosswalks isn't much fun. And I was living in the middle of streets, cars and crosswalks :)

Also ran in Nagoya and Kyoto (to the Nintendo HQ and back).

Best thing about traveling is going on runs in random places and requires little extra to pack.  Time for me to shift back into running mode soon here after my knee clears up from dropping a log on it, lol.  No real goals, just to stay fit and not get reinjured.

I find it to be a lot extra to pack, lol.
For instance this trip I'm going for 6 days and will only run 3 (one of them 13.1) since I'll be on the bayou 3 of the days and there is no way to run there....
So need 3 pairs of everything....plus a vest and hydro bottle for the long run, extra shoes, etc.
2 if the days are working so I need full gear for that.
It adds up,  especially for someone who would rather take punch to the balls than check luggage.
If I cant carry it on, it doesnt go.

    Still love doing it, though.
One of my favorite parts about traveling as much as I do.

Nice way to start the morning in lovely Lafayette LA
The 5 miles to/from the park were soooo slow, especially the first part at 430am in pitch dark.
Little sidewalk and hazardous, but i took my time.
The public park was very nice, a good run
Gotta be 2+ mins faster per mile in the 10 miler next weekend but this was fun to plod along and wake up with the area

I’m still running three times a week. Just nothing new or exciting to report. How are you?

    Beano!

    Ran a 10 miler Sunday
It is a challenging distance because I want to fucking attack in like a 10k but it hurts like a bastard as a result.
Need to run tomorrow AM to knock the rust off and feel better.  My legs are cement right now, lll

Awesome, that is one where you run a loop as many times as you can in X hours?

I have a 21k race on the 23rd. I think I can get around, because I did do 21 in Tokyo. But It will be slow...

Then a friend wanted me to join a very steep trail race on the 30th, where you can pick 7, 14 or 21 km.... But might bow out of that.

Yea, 4.167 mile loop, every hour starting on the hour, if you miss the start of a loop you're eliminated, sounds fun

I would only need to keep going for 5 days for the world record 🤯

Hehe. Ran way to fast (for me) and hit a wall after 7k. So 1/3 into it I was close to just stopping and walking home (from where we then were it was 10-15 min walk home). And now next years edition of the halfmaraton sold out in 3 days... some kind of hype here in Sweden for it now... so didn't get to apply for next year.

But I live close to the route. So I will take revenge and run the distance again in the summer. Slower. And prove to myself I can do it.

I ran a 14k trail run the weekend after... and that went fine though. And was fun.

Love this race, such a beautiful run.
    Tough 10K but fun.

What is your tempo (usually) in longer races?
