Flippers at Disney World?

I came across this tweet from a Disney account and the responses sounded very familiar.  I guess flipping is not just a Pearl Jam issue.

Of course it’s not. Happens all around us. Houses, cars, toys. It’s all a competition.

It was interesting that some of the comments almost word for word mirror comments here when posters or a limited item sells out.

Stuff.  We are obsessed with stuff that sits on a shelf and has no utility.

Disney has a policy where if merchandise is sold above retail price, they take away the annual pass.

I bet... Disney collectors are fierce.  😂.  We’ve had AP’s on and off over the years.  But I’ve given up on waiting on line for the limited magnets.  I’m only waiting on line for Pearl Jam merch.  😀

The best part is most of all this stuff we collect will be in a dump or a Goodwill in about 50 years when our kids don’t want to deal with this shit when we’re dead.

I have 4 kids and occasionally they discuss in front of me which posters each of them will be taking when I’m dead.  😂

Thats why you have to spin it, wear it, hang it, use it all (with care). I do have some sealed vinyl, but only if a double.
Sure my family wont know what to do with my pile of stuff.
I can imagine an antiques road show episode...so how many posters...this is the famous wolf bear pig print...50,000!

My parents have collected things over the years and my sister and I have already discussed it. We won't be fighting over who gets what, we will be trying to get the other one to take the stuff.

Sorry, I'm not up on the Disney merch craze. What is the dude buying in the picture? And what is the need for 10 of them?

Disney people are nuts but sneakerheads and the poster/vinyl community probably deal with higher prices on average.

Like 20 years ago, my aunt (who had no children) offered a painting she picked up during her many world travels to my cousin.  He declined because it wasn't his taste.  She offered it to me and my first thought was to decline also but I said what the heck and took it.  I had it in my garage for a year or two before I did some internet research on the artist and found it has some value.  I ended up selling it to an art gallery for $8k - so to this day I never turn down stuff like that.  =)

There used to be a show on tv about a couple of guys who make a living going to goodwill and thrift stores and then selling the stuff on eBay. I forget the name of it.  The oddest stuff was worth money.

Big line waiting to get into Disney Springs for shopping this morning...  I’m wondering how much COVID-19 exposure I would risk for a Pearl Jam poster.
