Gigaton - Limited Edition Turquoise Vinyl?

Just received an email from The Sound of Vinyl with a weekly round up of new releases - one of them being the Gigaton Limited Edition Turquoise Vinyl. When you click the link it takes you to the black version, so maybe they’ve just jumped the gun with this release and it’s coming soon....?

They put up 1000 turquoise copies of the latest Madonna album which were gone in minutes. Best keep an eye out.

Will do. Were the turquoise copies on both UK & USA site?

Just the US site I think. But could be that Gigaton will appear on the UK site (maybe US too) seeing as that information was included on the UK site email.

    Hi

I'm sorry, but I'm not seeing that turquoise edition on our US site right now! It's possible it may have been up in error if you saw it through us (and has since been taken down) or it might be an exclusive available through one of our sister stores (SOV UK, AU, etc)! But as of now, I'm not seeing that we'll be offering that item! Apologies for the confusion!

I’d keep checking the SOV UK site as it might show up on there soon as a UK exclusive.

This has to be a fake as I don't see them offering something in limited edition format to anyone outside of the fan club.

I doubt it’s fake, but could be that it’s a mistake or that it was cancelled. But the fact they listed a very limited edition of Madonna’s recent album in turquoise recently makes me think this might be coming. Just a guess though.

What do you mean? 2 years ago, Newbury Comics was selling Blue/Red (New England) versions of Live @ the Orphuem while 10c was selling nothing but black...

    Hey there!

I'm sorry for any confusion, but I don't see that we'll be offering a color release of that guy (at least, I'm not seeing an ETA through our US store)! Apologies for any confusion!

He could be mistaken or maybe they simply made a mistake in the email listing.

‘Internationally, the album will be released and distributed by Universal Music Group’

SOV deals with Universal releases which could very well indicate it’s going to be a UK only release as the US version has a different distributor. And would explain why it went out on the UK SOV email. I think it could be coming soon...

Is that a response from the US store though?
