Howard Stern talking about Pearl Jam and Apollo this morning.

Tough to listen this morning as he is talking about The Apollo show and how he told Sirius he wasn't going due to family issues but really was due to Corona.  Said he was really looking forward to going and it was hard to bail.  Still did the PJ trivia (what are the lyrics) to win Apollo tickets.  Just no Apollo tickets.  Said he had 3 sets of tickets to give away... :-(

He also agreed with Ed and PJ saying the government is dropping the ball on the virus and information/action.

    Was a funny segment. But the Corduroy lyric I don't believe is Poor Man's path but Varmint's. Some would say vermin.

    I loved this segment. It’s unfortunate the shows were postponed but it’s nice for PJ to get a strong amount of airplay.

    "Varmint" seems like such an antiquated word due him to use. Right up there with "tincture". (I've always thought it was "varmint's".)

    My mom texted me she heard on the news the Pearl Jam tour was postponed, which probably means they mentioned it on the Today show.

    Yeah I texted my parents first thing this morning to let them know they didn't have to babysit for the MSG show, and my dad was already aware of it. It's pretty big news.

    Yeah my buddy just sent me this. CNN Los Angeles reporting them as "cancelled" also mentioning them before Coachella, impressive.

    I had a (roughly) 10 year break from listening between when he left terrestrial radio & when I got my new car almost 5 years ago... I've actually been surprised at how funny & relevant he still is... I don't love a lot of the whack pack stuff, but overall it's still great radio.

    The published lyrics in the Pearl Jam Anthology say "I'll take the varmint's path."
    I always wanted it to be "I'll take the farthest path."  That would seem to fit with the ideas expressed in the song about not wanting to do what's easy or popular.

    Wouldn't be surprised if Stern gets Pearl Jam in studio whenever they do reschedule the NYC shows.  He respects their music. His best interviews seem to be when he's interviewing musicians

    It’s varmint's path.  I was shocked they couldn’t figure out “fist to the jaw” from given to fly.  I thought Fred was a big PJ fan based on tidbits over the years  (Fred is a fan, but was terrible on the lyrics).  Hearing high pitch Eric decipher PJ was funny

    Ed would of been on Howard Stern that week if the tour wasn't postponed. He just mentioned this on SiriusXM moments ago.
