    It could have worked fine.

One of my buddies had the Import of Ten with Wash, Dirty Frank, etc on it about 12/13 years ago, and I immediately fell in love with "Wash". He never let me "borrow" it though. So when Lost Dogs came out a couple years ago, THAT was the main reason I got it, in addition to some of the other songs I'd heard on B-sides and such over the years (Footsteps, YLB, etc). Wash very easily could have been on the original version of Ten, but Ten itself is about as perfect of an album as you can get. Just glad they released Lost Dogs so we could get all that cool shit on one CD....

I got the bonus tracks, but I prefer the versions of Wash and Dirty Frank that are on Lost Dogs. I think they're mixed slightly differently. They sound a lot better.

i actually prefer the Lost Dogs version of Wash. it made me fall in LOVE with the song. the way Ed sings at the end is one of THE BEST endings of a PJ tune. IMO

however, i prefer the single version of Dirty Frank. they cut some out on the Lost Dogs version.
