Wash should have been put on Ten!!!

after recently getting lost dogs i have formed this opinion.
does anyone else agree (or not)?
i think it's a bloody good song and would have worked well with all the other tracks.
not that ten isn't an awesome album without it though.

Agree, Wash is a great song, and would have been good on 10. But it wasn't, so we have it other places. :) Enjoy!

  • I disagree. It is better as a B-side. You play it specifically to hear it and it doesn't get lost within other tracks on an album. I like it by itself.

actually, i could have done without Why Go, and taken Wash instead. i think it's a much better song.

Aye sorry, no boasting was intended. To be honest i didn't ever stop to think that versions of Ten around the world would be different. I thought the extra 3 tracks were like a standard updated version of the album. Ah well...

I got the bonus tracks, but I prefer the versions of Wash and Dirty Frank that are on Lost Dogs. I think they're mixed slightly differently. They sound a lot better.

  • Back in 92 I had Ten on cassette and later that year learned that Wash was on some foreign version. So from an old CD single (I think it may have been Alive) I recorded Wash on the end of side 2 right over Master/Slave and then re-recorded Master/Slave at the end of Wash.

I traded that cassette to a music store 7-8 years ago. Wonder what the purchaser thought.

Wash is a great song. After buying Lost Dogs it became one of my fav. PJ songs
  • I agree, but think the same thing about most of the bsides from that album, they just had too much solid material.

I love wash, I like it more then some songs that have made it to albums, then again ten is pretty damn perfect the way it is if you ask me, probably still my fave album.
  • Yeah Wash should have been put on Ten, I was listening to Lost Dogs and at first I didn't really like it, then I listened to it again the whole way through and now its one of my favorite songs off Lost Dogs.
