Anyone use Calm or something similar?

I've been incredibly stressed since the start of the year. I can usually work stuff out in my head, but the inner turmoil is really starting to get to me. My next step is to see a therapist if I can't make some progress.

Thanks for the feedback.

My 16 year old daughter said that her Chemistry teacher uses Calm in class. She hates it.

K suffers from severe test anxiety and gave me the scoop when I suggested it to her.

I used to meditate. That was incredibly helpful.

I've never meditated before. I want to give it a shot.

Anything particular about Calm that your daughter didn't like? I think there's a free version. I might give it a whirl.

    Thanks for your insight.

  • I've used the free version of Headspace ... it has 3-5 minute guided meditations.  I think it was helpful but it never quite 'clicked' for me.
Suggest trying it out.  Good luck.

Thank you. I downloaded Calm. Will give HS a try too.

I've been doing a LOT of breathing. Deep breathing, whenever I feel like I'm gonna get upset. It has helped.

I've talked to a select few people, people I trust. There's no real answer to the primary situation (my relationship).

I will check your thread out. Thank you.
