^ You lucky bastard, billygoatgruff! I didnt even think, when considering their beauty and environmental significance, of their sounds! Did it sound like the sound on PJs upcoming song?

Yes.  Stopped near Jasper on the way from Calgary to Edmonton on the 2011 tour to walk around on one.  Took a cool all terrain vehicle to get to it.

I'm cringing at the thought of "fall" touring road conditions! Good on ya bootie! I think I skipped one nearby that year to keep the baby that lived in my tummy safe.

Went on a small boat cruise this past August.
This glacier had receded about a 1/4 mile over the past 2 years.
    But there's no global warming.

The Colombian Icefields? We did that in 2012. Banff to Jasper was a beautiful drive.

I also saw a glacier crack on Lake Louise. Plain of Six Glacier I think it was called.

Yessir, the Columbia Icefields and the Athabasca Glacier. We just went there in August2019. I wanted to hike to Grinnell Glacier while we were at Glacier NP but the Highline Trail tore us up (over the following few weeks, that hike caused the girlfriend to lose 6 toenails)! Anyhow, since I couldn't get to Grinnell, we paid out the wazoo to get to the Athabasca Glacier. Super cool, cold, rainy and windy experience!

I stood on a cirque glacier in RMNP 25 years ago.  I ate a sub and some chips and listened to the water running underneath.

Did a tour of the fjords up near Seward, Alaska. We got in pretty close to the glaciers. It started cracking and a huge chunk sheared off into the ocean and the tour boat had to split out pretty fast. Good size wave was heading in. We were at a safe distance but they didn't want to get rocked too bad haha.

Hahaha! Maybe it was a failed attempt at a dick pic?

It was cold and windy and rainy. I tried to take pictures so quickly as to not ge my phone wet! August 20th and it was hat, gloves and a triclimate coat....and still shivering!

Yes was in Alaska for a month, 16yrs ago. Waited around for an hour or so and saw a huge chunk drop off into the water.  Also went on a glacier walk and saw my first ever ice worm.  Pretty amazing.
