How does the Faithful Forum contest work? Do they just announce they are taking calls and you try to call in at that time?

I was calling on my cell & landline and my dogs were going nuts. I'm SCREAMING at them to STFU and finally go see what they're barking at - a woman is at my front door at the wrong house, looking to pick up a dollhouse! She obviously heard me screaming from the other room. Ooops
It would be even better if she saw you with a phone on each ear yelling STFU
  • Our office is having phone upgrades today, of all days, I couldn't even connect on the landline. Cell....all circuits are busy.

Twice Rob has just come on and given them away. The second week he talked to listeners, gave some history on the Apollo and then gave them away. He talks about it early and queues up a song for call in start time.

trying to be indifferent but this is starting to sting
I'm trying not to think about all of the hours I spent being unproductive. It definitely stings.
Honestly it’s getting a bit out of hand... but what are the options other than doing this? Can’t give up in too deep now too much time invested. Just have to keep putting out positive vibes that the next time will be the time for it to happen...

    2 more shots today
Last night, at the dinner table with my wife and older son. We are usually respectful of dinner time, but here I am looking down at the app to see what song is playing. My wife looks at me, and simply says “oh, the Pearl Jam thing.”

No other words were spoken on the matter. Because the fact is, she wants to go, too!
See it’s a sacred thing and we all know PJ brings us together... even when it distracts us during our family time unfortunately... my husband and I were out on Friday and we both started mad dialing and were so focused on it the whole time, trying for just a shot in the dark to see this amazing band

cheers to having the best partners that get it

When you say "Twice Rob has just come on and given them away", what is he drawing entries from?

People who dial as soon as the time slot starts. That’s how I got stuck talking to him the one time that he gave them away later in the show.

Right. He comes on, says he has tickets to give away at song start. Starts the song, then does it. They bring the winner on so at least we all know when to stop.

i had a dream last night i won.  i was talking to the sirius operator then i was disconnected, but sirius called me right back.  but I never gave them my name or email :anguished:
i just purchased an echo for friday night to listen to the live sirius stream from home. as i can only rely on the app while I'm at work.   this has been stressful but fun.  good luck to all.

    38 concerts and counting

He tells you when he’s clearing the lines and when to call.  Call right away, no app / online delay.

I should underscore my last point. There is no delay for the app / online listeners during FF. If you aren’t listening on satellite, you probably won’t win. I got through on my 2nd dial last time and was caller 12.

I think what he's getting at is there's no delay between when it's announced on satellite to call in and when they start taking calls, whereas with the SoTW they seem to wait a bit before taking calls.

Sorry, I’m not making my point clear. For SOTD, they seem to wait to start taking calls until about the time when the song starts playing on the app. So if you are listening on the app or online, you have a chance. For FF, he starts taking calls immediately after announcing, which satellite listeners will hear about 2:30 before app / online listeners. No delay in taking the calls. So if you aren’t on satellite, you have little to no chance of winning.

    Hope that clarifies.
  • They for SURE started taking calls before the stream started this time. Getting a little tired of that game...
That’s why it’s 22nd caller.  They go through a bunch to clean out the lines for when the stream starts.
    Isn't it caller 22 b/c they're on Channel 22?
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Yup. How different my life would be right now if they were parked on channel 13 or 17 - only numbers I've gotten in the past 3 and a half weeks.
