Most positive reviews ive seen since Yield maybe. I havent seen a bad one yet.
Well- Pitchfork hasn't given one yet....
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river
Is there a link? And yes gett8ng pumped too. Hopefully hear it before the virus gets me. I fall in the pre-condition group that got me scared shitless.

The slant review seems to be the first negative review. I’m ok with that, not everything works out. The description of Superblood Wolfmoon sort of fits how I feel about the song. Just a bit too much words the Ed overwhelms it. I don’t hate it by any stretch. It’s good to get some balance with the reviews.

If SBWM is the “most baffling” thing on the album according to this critic, then I’m still just as hopeful it’ll be a great album.
This one lost me at "While Vedder has penned some indelible rock songs - “Yellow Ledbetter” is but one example". There couldn't have been a worse song to reference in my opinion when speaking of Ed's writing, if you want to use it for Mike's guitar styling that is one thing.

I appreciate all reviews and I’m happy to read a critical one in the sea of positives we’ve been getting, just to get a different perspective (even though it does technically lean positive), but that’s just a poorly written and half-baked review. Particularly in comparison to the antiquiet one.

This and when he comments on Ed’s lyrics for Buckle up when Stone wrote the lyrics.
I do not mind a somewhat more critical review, but here too: analysis and well thpught motivations.are paramount. This was badly motivated and written review.. This sentence contradicts itself, if you claim a band has a long standing due to its songwriting how can you speak of a band with a "longstanding identity" and immidiatly claim; "or lack thereof"? This does not make sense. Quoting a song from VS at the start, does not indicate you know the progress of this band. They have experimented on every album and have moved outside their comfort zone often: it is ian ntegrated part of their identity. All fans know that. You cannot hail this and dismiss it at the same time.
I’m loving DoTC and SBWM. The other 3 songs they’ve released so far the past couple of days are kind of short, just my opinion. I’m not a paid Slant reviewer though, so what do I know?
That last one was like 16 seconds, catchy, but short. Plus, only instrumental?!? Really digging it though!
Seriously, I fee like I’m the only person who hasn’t heard the whole album yet.

I totally agree. The last three songs they've released probably aren't even a minute cumulatively. Isn't this album supposed to come in at 57 minutes... I guess there must be like a 20 minute track to make up for all these > 1/2 the length of Lukin songs.
