What is considered rare or hard to get?

Wow. Says it’s believed to be one of a kind but 3 have it. That is a beeeyootiful record.  I saw a Vs. Promo that looked like it was orange in colour on eBay last night. Was in a plain white sleeve with a PJ rectangular label. Then there was another one which said it was “coloured vinyl” but the pictures looked like black vinyl.
I was interested but not sure if these are official.

I'll defend by saying it's very very low likelihood they have it - people miscategorize records all the time on Discogs. I would have to think there is at least another couple out there if they made it through South America in the 90s. This came from the home of a variant collector in Colombia so is in good condition as well.

I'll defend by saying it's very very low likelihood they have it - people miscategorize records all the time on Discogs. I would have to think there is at least another couple out there if they made it through South America in the 90s. This came from the home of a variant collector in Colombia so is in good condition as well.

Makes sense. It took me a bit to learn the nuances of discogs. For instance, I have a sealed In Utero RE from 2009. The coloured vinyl. The numbers are the same but of those 4000 coloured vinyls produced, a certain number were produced at Pallas Pressing in Germany and they are neon yellow as opposed to the cream coloured US pressings. They have the same identifiers and look exactly the same.

I don’t know how many neon-yellows there are but on discogs the difference in asking price is $300US. Found this beauty at a record shop
here in Calgary for $99CDN. The owner even said he could get $250 on eBay if wanted lol. 

Anyways...point was I had accidentally and incorrectly noted the cream coloured one as part of my collection so I’m sure it happens often. 

Any idea what that variant would be worth? Something that rare would be gold

Rare PJ things that come to mind.

Early promo items like the matt, basketball hoops, vodka, jack daniels, megaphone, yield sign.
Freak, giveway, rarefied and live, monkeywrench radio, vault 1, z100 booklet, advanced copies.
Angel unedited, first xmas, blue fixer, orange fixer.
Chapstik, sunglasses, Cherub sticker, toast, WMA, flame.
Slipcover friends and family books, challenge coins, moleskine books, itinerary's.

Not sure to be honest - I don't think a Blue is worth $10k though (no offense if that is someone on here). I think the Blue is worth $2500-$3500 by most estimates, which would make this realistically only slightly higher. But that's a shot from the hip.

be wary of the blue vs if they pop up. there is a "replica" version floating around too. though the one or two times i've seen it, it was sold as a replica to the rare official version. the real blue vs. has sold for $2400-$3000

There are fake ones so yes.  People have been recreating them but with the wrong font so they are easy to tell apart.

If Vault 1 is considered rare why is the value so low? I've always wondered why or how no one cares about this one. I'd be interested to know how many are out there since it was just a single give away at PJ20? How many tickets were given to fan clubbers?

It's rare, but the value is low because it's a CD format that is also available digitally. That's my best guess anyway.

Just check past ebay sales or if any are listed.  They don't come up often.

As for the low price?  150-200 for a cd isn't cheap as far as I am concerned!
