Would be awesome if Pearl Jam had some sort of band signed give away that vaccinated 10c members could enter (even though im sure most folks here got vaccinated on their own will already)

I recommend watching the full video in the link above

Ohio is dropping all restrictions, health orders, and masking on June 2nd.  Gov. DeWine thanks everyone for cooperating over the past year, says it is time to drop the orders, but also emphasizes how important the vaccine is and how detrimental it can be to you if you choose not to get it.

"It’s time to end the health orders. It’s been a year," DeWine said. "You’ve followed the protocols. You’ve done what we’ve asked. You’ve bravely fought this virus. And now, our cases are down, and we have a tested and proven weapon in the vaccine that all Ohioans 12 and over can utilize."

I believe the conversation  was about  vaccine  passport  and the  fact  they already really exist in most countries  to travel to some places

Seems the top three US destinations are quite exotic, full of mosquitoes and water borne diseases and ailments. Good thing two of three are full of English speakers and conversant English is probably required to work in the resorts in the third. Since ‘Muricans can’t take their guns to most places, never know when you’ll need to shoot a virus, better to travel somewhere “safe.”

    This is unfortunately very true.
The amount of people I know who go to the same beach, same resort, same lake, same casino year in and year out is disappointing.
This is a big beautiful country to explore and then there is the whole rest of the world.
I go to the same beach every summer, and I love it, my wife loves it, and so do my kids. Some people just don't have the funds and/or ability to travel on a bigger scale. All our friends are there, our kids friends are there. it's our little paradise for a few weeks every summer.

Just catching up on this thread.... I USED to respect your opinion, Hedo.

Ketchup & spicy mustard or GTFO
    Et tu, Merkin?!

At least I’m with you on spicy mustard =)

To the vaccination passport...sign of the times, and frankly, makes sense to me for now. It doesn’t make me feel infringed upon at all.

I think it will end up being you have one of two options
    1) You have a vaccine passport/card
    2) If not vaccinated you will need to continue providing a negative covid test (likely a rapid upon landing at a destination so it cant be faked) when you travel

Honestly i think either option is fine.  I'm not against a vaccine passport but I think a negative test upon landing or entry that can be verified is acceptable too.

For No. 2, I wonder what the protocol is/would be upon presenting a positive test after having been on a plane for however many hours.

I thought I had heard that there is a new rapid test being developed that would get results in mere seconds/minutes, but I can't find a link. anyone else hear this?

The city is paying for baseball tickets?  That's gotta be brought up by Tucker, right? If that's not socialism, I don't know what is.

It has to do mostly with traveling to developing or "third world" countries. For things like Malaria, Cholera, etc..

Traveling abroad is very expensive. Why does this make them ignorant? Just seems harsh to criticize someone so much and call them ignorant for not engaging in a luxury that most can't afford.  Traveling abroad in Europe is very different and much cheaper than what it costs Americans.

Some Canadian scientists are perfecting a saliva based test that uses paper test strips and is ready in 20 minutes. I posted a link a couple of weeks ago...
