Had my test today.  Nasal swab.  No biggie.  2/3 days to get results.  Possibly up to 7 days.  Hoping I just got a cold or allergies...
    Good luck and stay safe

Oxford vaccine is ready and works and is safe. And its best given in half dose first so would double capacity  to reach many people faster. The cavalry is on the  horizon.  Stay safe for a small while more  a few months and hope is coming .
    What's an Oxford vaccine?
Its the uk one. Astrazenica and oxford university.  Its the flu jab basically  but  for covid .  Im very optimistic about it as unlike the usa ones.  This is old science  and not a new kind altogether.

Adamson BBQ Toronto.  It's supposed to have great food...
They opened in a lockdown...Glad the Toronto police showed up with 4 cops.  You know these small business rebels are tough for the police to handle.

Post the prime minister speaking (and mentioning working from home twice) last weekend it's hard for the boss to get us to come to the office. Even with him thinking it improves the work (which I agree with). I walk there in 10 minutes, but I get the people needing to take the bus etc.

But seems we all will work from home pretty much 100% from now till the holiday.

my VP claims our department is "essential". I work in FINANCE. I can do everything I do from HOME. it's nonsensical. I've already been hauled into HR once because of my "tone" when asking about this repeatedly since September.

Well, you give me a stupid answer, expect a stupid follow up.

    Fuckers.

This thing is really taking off like wild fire here in California (and elsewhere, of course).  I was starting to feel a bit more relaxed, semi normal, and then, BAM!, here we go again.  Part of me is pissed off at having to go back into high alert mode, and part of me grateful for the awareness of the need for caution in order to stay safe.  I sure do look forward to next year when things will hopefully ease up.  I'm sure we all do.

    Stay safe all.

Looks like it's plateuing. So, then yes. Corner. Donald redeemed.
"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"
  • Like Tegnell was redeemed? Some plateau. And cancel culture is alive and well. 2 million new cases in November. A couple of weeks before Christmas is going to be particularly ugly. Just remember, Sleepy Woke Joe Basement Biden cancelled Christmas.

The United States logged nearly 2,100 coronavirus-related fatalities on Tuesday, marking the pandemic’s deadliest day in more than six months. Record numbers of fatalities were reported in nine states — Ohio, Washington, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Oregon, Maine, Alaska and North Dakota — according to data tracked by The Washington Post.

    Here are some significant developments:
    • Tuesday’s tally of 2,092 covid-19 deaths is the highest the United States has seen since May 6, when 2,611 deaths were reported. Nearly 12.6 million U.S. cases and 259,000 fatalities have been reported since February.
    • Global growth in new coronavirus cases elsewhere around the world, especially Europe, slowed last week, according to the World Health Organization’s latest epidemiological update. Many European nations imposed strict lockdowns or other measures weeks ago.
    • The federal government plans to send 6.4 million doses of Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine to U.S. communities within 24 hours of receiving clearance.
    • The CDC intends to shorten the recommended self-quarantine period for people who have may been exposed to the coronavirus, two agency officials said Tuesday. The hope is compliance will improve if the guidelines seem less daunting.
    • YouTube has suspended One America News, a favorite of Trump allies, for spreading misinformation about the coronavirus.
    • France and Britain tentatively plan to ease lockdown restrictions ahead of Christmas.

1 in 100 people in my province have been infected. my premier was interviewed yesterday by rosemary barton and she was grilling him on manitoba's horrendous numbers and his response was trumpian: "we were at zero in the fall" and then this: "I don't hear any solutions coming from you", and she responded "sir, I'm not an elected official".

the premier blaming journalists for not being able to do the job of premier of the province. unreal.

Our county of El Dorado  has the same rate, 1%, up from a fraction of 1 in 100.

On FaceBook, I read someone from the City of Folsom talking about how El Dorado County has gone up to 1% infection rate and therefor they will not spend a nickle here.

Oh, but Sacramento County, which is where Folsom is, is at 2% infection rate.  Brilliant!

People can be so dumb sometimes.
