Your not the only one who cant seen to get that song (nothing as it seems into your head.Well i mean im fucked with myself to , but its 1 song out of many others only 1 song.
I usually skip over nais because i find it depressing... and i like every song for some reason... but I do not seek them out... like if you put on a cd and you are playing cards with your friends ...I like to hear every song..but if you are driving in your car and looking to rock out or relate with a certain feeling...there are certain songs that never make the cut;)

Well Put!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree. For those who hate on push me pull me look for a live version they are amazing!!!
last kiss is a good song, but it's been fully overplayed, and it's the song that every teenage girl is like omg, thats soooooooo saaad! it's the teenyboppers pearl jam song, because its so blatantly sad
Being Pearl Jam fans....none of us really like anything "popular" thus those songs that are over played can be put on our "I'd rather listen to something else shit list" I'm thinking it doesn't mean we don't apprciate the song it's just that we have so many bootlegs and b-sides that we have all gotten addicted to something different that only pj fans are interested in....not the entire radio population.
i totally agree. the pj songs that all my friends know are the ones i wouldnt put on my favourites list. i still love all the pj songs, even if i dont listen to them often. the writing is (as always) unbelievable.
my least favourite pj song is last kiss, and for some reason its always playing on the radio here...

HELP HELP is one of those songs I like better live so its performed ill be ok - even YOU ARE - again, they are not my favorite or 1st choices - has NO WAY ever been performed? Also, PILATE is rare too.............how about TREMOR CHRIST (awesome track) and RATS
As far as I know, No Way was only done once, on the 98 tour. But I'm certain it was done at least once.
Pilate had a little more play, 4-5 times, and at least once on the 2000 tour. Not played at all on the 03 tour or on VFC.
Tremor Christ has had a little more history, being played a few times as recently as the 2003 tour.
Rats was briefly a song on setlists, but saw it's last performance in 1998.
To address the issue of the thread: I too skip NAIS. I also skip Dissident. I don't feel the least bit bad about it, either.
There are two songs for me.
Wishlist and Last Kiss.
I couldn't stand Wishlist from the first day I heard it. The live version is 100x better! And Last Kiss is just completely uninteresting to me. Coming from a band overflowing with creativity this song seems to have none of that.
Every other PJ song is completely listenable to me. Those are the only two that I skip every time.
"I'll Ride the wave where it takes me. I'll Hold the pain. RELEASE ME!"
Jeremy- Its a great song but a few years ago the ex-drummer in our band wanted to cover it, of course we didn't have a good enough singer so i sorta felt it would be doing an injustice to the song. Unfortunatly the drummer just kept playing the damn song again and again to the point where now those opening notes make me feel utterly naucsious.

Last Kiss. Damn thing makes me want to stick knitting needles in my ears just to stop from hearing it. And I can't stand Ledbetter. Overplayed & a huge downer at the end of a show. Once in a while I can stomach it on the radio.
Breakerfall, and most of Riot Act. Opening of Present Tense (Ed's lyrics about the tree bending is one of his cheesiest, hard to listen to).
I've only gotten through Lost Dogs once. I thought I'd be more excited about the record but then I had to go get obsessed with Morrissey and the Manic Street Preachers while we were all waiting for it to come out, and I just don't feel the great big urge to listen to it at all. So if that counts as skipping, count LD.
well same here, i can't stand nothing as it seems either, the live version on the touring band dvd was a bit better but i prob never gonna like it.
and just to say, i really don't see why yellow ledbetter can be a dissapointment at the end of a show, it's such a great song and another ''mike moment'' (always a good thing, i think ;-))
yeah, I go through phases toobut i'll never admit it! shame on you all!
Actually, I hate to say it, but for the longest time I had a disliking for Jeremy of all songs, but I think that was because it was so popular to people who never 'felt' the album.

Funny question since Nothing as it seems is about people with down syndrome. I quite like NAIS myself, but I've never really lovedit.
A friend of mine sort of ruined Last Kiss for me the year it came out... '99? The fucker does a shitty Ed impression. But that was then.
Hey, R! (if you're reading this) you know who I mean, don't ya? What was it in 2000? LOL!
uh,
interesting interpretation.

I don't like to listen to given to fly on any of the boots either. I just don't like the way matt plays it.

Right now tho, every album is flowin'.
Maybe it is because I can't really figure out the true meaning. I like to get deep in all of the songs.
Why?
huh.
Ironically, that to me is a such a deep song lyrically. I feel it is an anti rape song.
