Black might be good
ledbetter, porch, RVM and then finally alive on repeat a bajillion times.
i got more depressed, but then realized she was a total bitch. now i feel better! thanks PJ!
'This is my kind of love
It's the kind that moves on
It's the kind that leaves me alone'
Or Call Me A Dog... Sorry, that might be more insulting to you than anything else. LOL
My band has a song called Too Good For You:
'I'm too good for you
But you're still mine
I don't need you
Get your ass in line
You're wastin my money
And wastin my time
I don't need you
Get your ass in line'
Hope that helps...
not for you or animal if you're feeling bitter......

Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
'I see you standin there
you think you're so cool
Why don't you just
FUCK OFF!'
'You get nothin for nothin
If that's what you do
Turn around bitch I got a use for you
Besides, you ain't got nothin better to do
And I'm bored!'

A Giro.
I used RVM as a breakup song. Seeing a relationship after it has passed. Always so much clearer.
Also: Black, Light Years, Thumbing My Way, Nothingman, Other Side, Footsteps, PRESENT TENSE, Parthing Ways, Porch, Wash, Indifference, Not For You...Enjoy

It's good that you have your own interpretation of RVM, but judging from the line "I guess it was the beatings, made me wise" and "the shades are raised" (when compared to 'Daughter') it's a song about child abuse.
Other Side is not about a breakup either, but whatever floats your boat.
damn it, jim.....i'm a doctor, not dear abby......

Yes it is.
I have been listening to Black for awhile and also writing and playing my own when Pearl Jam can't hit the nail on the head (they usually do though).
Hard times, but Pearl Jam always helps.

chloe dancer/crown of thorns is absolutely swesome and beautiful in every way so it really shouldnt be associated with any kind of negativeness like a break-up. however, if you use it to make you feel better, there really aint a better song
If you like Audioslave... Be yourself is a good sonog to listen to after a break up.
And if you like coldplay there new single 'speed of sound' is about new beginnings.
Release meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes but what kind of abuse are we talking about? Eddie points to physical abuse but leaves it open so you can familiarize yourself with it. Go deeper with it. Its harder ever physical...
it's not the same without you up here
can't find my wheels
your absence is what breeds this fear
warm breath and all it steals
you can't know how it feels to be in here
all the dark horse fields, befriendin' me
playin' ain't the same without you here
we've come to hate the golden rule
cannot seem to make the dots connect
the morning light don't show you near
you can't know what it's like to bleed from here
the blackened world goes white, it goes nowhere
how can you not associate that with a breakup. Sure you can associate it with a lot. But breakups one of the obvious ones along with death and transcendence (most obvious).

Like Ed says, make up your own interpretation. I think Other Side was not written about a breakup, but death rather.
