I know it's implied by numbers 2 and 6 so might not need its own separate entry, but one lesson that seems apparent to me from reading some of the frustrated/disappointed posts around here over the last few days is: take your time. I know why peopled don't - when I see a tour/lottery announcement I get excited and drop everything to act on it as soon as possible, but there's really no reason to do that. Often when tickets or other items suddenly go on sale, you need to act immediately or risk missing out. That is definitively not the case for these ticket lotteries. Timing of entry most certainly does not affect your odds, and while some people around here apparently believe that it affects how quickly you get notified after the drawing happens, that's never really been confirmed and seems like baloney to me (and also, even if it were true it wouldn't be a good tradeoff for potentially screwing up your entry - waiting to hear on lotto drawings is agonizing, but you can put me down to be the last person notified every time if it would help my chances of winning). You have days to read all the rules, think carefully about what dates your may or may not want to try for, coordinate with friends, consider odds & trends, read these boards to benefit from others' experience, etc.
Again, I should probably take my own advice here because I'm as guilty as anyone of giving in to the impulse to get my submission in as quickly as possible. But there's no benefit to rushing things, and it looks like there are a number of cases where people either (a) went through to quickly and only figured out after the drawing that they had screwed up somehow or (b) needed to go back and make changes one or more times, which just compounds the possibility of making errors. Measure twice & cut once.
What about make sure your Ten Club name matches your Ticketmaster account name exactly? Not sure if this is true but I saw it being posted a lot.
My names definitely DID NOT match. I think they meant to say email addresses must match. Who knows, but I scored tickets to both shows that I entered - with conflicting names on 10c vs. Ticketmaster.
If you do #2 (which you had 3 days to do) it takes care of most everything. But then, why do that when you can come on here and ask the same questions over and over. And over.
I understand the rules, adhered to each. I am simply disappointed to have been a consistent Ten Club member for many years, even when there was no hope of a PJ stop near me. I wish there was a way to open up more tix to the real fans so this didn't happen. What was "unprecedented" is it seems like more club fans lost out this time compared to other opportunities. Looks like I'll be stub-hubbing it and giving some greaseball scalper the extra $.

Kind of excessive when tickets haven't even gone on sale.

Did you sign up for Verified Fan? There is still that, the public sale and the Fan to Fan option.

If anything, more fan club members got tickets this time than in years past.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

Wrong. It seems like WAY more members got tickets than ever. And still have verified fan sale
11. Don't act like a whiny, entitled beach . You probably did not follow instructions or you simply did not get lucky. The world will not end, as it does not revolve around you, and the new album will be out soon and you will have something new to complain about.

Interesting - where do you live that there were periods of “no hope of a PJ stop near me” but there was (presumably) a nearby show that you couldn’t get tickets for this time?
I only picked NYC and didn't get them; was waitlisted for Ticketmaster verified fan presale and didn't get that either. If I recall correctly, the emails made it seem almost certain that we were all in! I can't be mad but I was surprised. I went to all the Fenway shows in '16 & '18 and I got used to being guaranteed my ticket requests. Huge fan!

Not to give you to hard of time, but other than Denver and MSG, it should be true fans going to the shows as it will be extremely difficult to resell a ticket.
Other than those 2 shows, PJ shows aren't even being listed on stubhub or the other major sites.
Can I add --- If you're not successful in receiving lottery tickets through the initial 10C issuance, you should automatically be entered as a Verified Fan for the public presale. I didn't do the latter thinking that 99% chance when I registered for the 10C lottery was a slam dunk.

It took 30 seconds to register for the Verified Fan sale.

The lottery is a 10C initiative and VF is run by TM so unrelated. Both are open to everyone who wishes to participate. You might regret that now, but that isn't necessarily a reason it needs to change. Learn and do better next time.
I registered for the VF for 2 shows, but only ever received the code for 1. Was that not a guarantee presale for members? Didn't really matter as I got the lotto picks, but was going to try and get another couple to join us.

No - the email you got when you registered for VF had some 10pt font "fine print".
#11. One reason that extreme demand exists is because the band keeps prices comparably low compared to other top tier artists ($1,600 face value for Rolling Stones pit in 2019 tour, $850 face value for Eagles 100 level in 2020 tour, etc.).
I'm not sure about seniority. I have a low 10c number and when I got my presale code it was only 3 digits. My buddy whose 10C number is 100XXX got a 5 digit number, and my wife, who joined in 2017 got a number in the 800,000's. This part is more tenuous, but of the 3 of us I was the only one to score any tickets.

One time I met a guy from New York who liked Filet-o-Fish therefore all New Yorkers like Filet-o-Fish?

I was lucky enough to score 2 Fan Club tickets to the STL show on 4/8 (and was notified of such and charged), The email said I'd be notified the Week of 1/27 of where my seats will be. I know the week is not over yet, but I still don't have a confirmation or see anything in my Ticketmaster account. Anyone else in the same boat? Have notifications gone out?
