Niners should refuse to play the super bowl in Florida, not show up and forfeit the game. Oh but get bent over players taking a knee.

I think her being there and being out and proud on such a big stage is a big middle finger to all the republican christian conservatives who think she is wrong for being who she is and who she loves.

Couldn’t agree more but my guess they don’t know she exists. However, those fuckers in the legislature know the SB and the money it brings in exists and if the NFL had any moral character, they would drop Florida from the list of SB sites. And all those cruise lines should refuse to arrive/depart from Florida as well. Economics is really all they get. In 2020 no less. Sheesh.

Looks like more than just Tennessee and florida have a problem with republcans using their fear, hate, and ignorance to propose anti-LGBTQ legislation .....

Dozens of anti-LGBTQ state bills already proposed in 2020, advocates warn. https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/dozens-anti-lgbtq-state-bills-already-proposed-2020-advocates-warn-n1121256
  • Religious freedom can be a dangerous thing.  If you were a religious person I can see why this would mean something to you but in the end of the day if you truly cared about the well being of an orphaned child then you would want him or her to be happy, healthy and loved and this bill ultimately denies a them of that.

I was near the state line earlier today, and I had three hours to kill while my daughter was doing choir practice. I searched for record stores nearby, the closest one was in New Hampshire, but I said fuck it and drove the extra miles to stay in Massachusetts.

It is frickin' unreal how the "Old Timey Rleigion" nutjobs want to dicriminate against people for being who they are. Sad & sickening. I hate seeing stuff like this. It's 2020 and these people STILL want to romanticize an era that was okay with turning hoses on people and open discrimination? Cro magnum & outdated ways of thinking.

Bravo to Wells Fargo - that's our bank. Good to know they're evolved.  Our area is incredibly divided and we can "feel" the tension when we go out sometimes. We try to just keep our heads down and exercise our rights by voting and where we choose to spend our money.

I just don't see how people that are so full of hatred, willfull ignorance and intolerance can claim to know the first thing about what Jesus was truly about or what God's will is.

Wells Fargo is hardly some moral compass...at least when it comes to people's $.  But alas, this is a good thing.

Ugh.  I've had people make Jewish jokes around me.  When they elbow me with "funny, right?" and I tell them I'm Jewish, they say I don't look it.  Ahhh, got it:  no big nose, no glasses, no dark bushy hair, not monetarily stingy.  And on.

And, being a fair-skinned women of Persian and German descent, I've also been subjected to many Middle-Eastern stereotypical comments guised as humor.

Once I rejected a job applicant for doing that, told her why, and it felt fucking GREAT.

That said, I've been known to make similar jokes about my family.  But I'm allowed =)

Buddy of mines daughter goes to Auburn.  She had a fellow NYer that went to the school there too.  He was Jewish.  The locals didn't care for him and showed it.  he came back to NY.

Apparently the world isn't as advanced as I imagine it to be...
Well of course they didn't like him.
He was probably harvesting body parts, his family controlled the worlds financial institutions,  and they were scared of his horns.

It is great when bigots get their comeuppance.

You had someone make a Jewish joke while being interviewed for a job?  Wow.
No, it was a remark disparaging Iranian people. And hell yeah, I didn’t want to work with someone of that character.

That was a scene in the show "This is Us".  Kevin was dating and went out w a gal and her comment was along the lines of "Those people are good for something" and he got up and left.

I'm naive I guess to certain things...

  • The band should drop the Nashville show and add a second Zurich show. Or a third and fourth?
