Your Saturday, August 8, Peak to Sky headliners: Grammy Award-winning Wilco and Sleater-Kinney as part of their newly announced “It’s Time” Summer 2020 co-headlining tour. ⁣
Fronted by alt-rock legend Jeff Tweedy, and with 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Wilco has a massive and dedicated worldwide following, and their alt-rock, folksy sound will be a perfect match for the groove-loving folks of southwest Montana (and anybody lucky enough to fly in for a taste). ⁣
Sleater-Kinney, comprised of Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, who also starred in the hit TV show “Portlandia,” formed in the ‘90s in Olympia, Washington. The female rock band has been dubbed “punk rock heroes” by fans and critics alike, including Rolling Stone, which noted the fusion as “radical feminism and challenging, fiery punk.” ⁣
Don't miss them crush the stage this August. ⁣

Who caught Mike McCready & Friends on last year’s Peak to Sky festival stage? The Pearl Jam guitarist, Grammy Award-winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has some more tricks up his sleeve for this year’s Peak to Sky. You won't want to miss August 7 & 8 in Big Sky!

It looks grim for 2020.  I think all concerts this year are going to be cancelled.  Save your $$$$ and hope tours restart early next year.

I don't want to shit on anyone's parade.  But the concert industry is not going to come back in the way you think of it for a long long long time.

Probably.  The only thing is, the Kentucky situation was 3 festivals in a row and the announcement said there was too much involved in planning 3 straight to live with the uncertainty.  With Ohana being a one and done, and with a playbook being in its 5th year now, at least the decision can hopefully wait and see for a few more weeks in case something improves.  Also, it’s possible some of the cancelled shows and festivals weren’t selling that well to begin with.  We don’t know Ohana sales, but the Sunday VIP sold out.  That’s a lot of $500’s to return.  They’ll put safety first, but I’m guessing they’ll wait a while to decide.

I won’t be in the majority but to me this is a disappointing headliner announcement. I’ll be skipping P2S in 2022. I also hope they move it back to the July long weekend in 2023, made for an awesome weekend road trip!
