I'd say either Dissident or Indifference.
the latter being so emotional and powerful, I can't get enough
saw things so much clearer...
want you...in my....REARVIEW MIRROR

One thing that I know for sure gonna give her the loving
Like nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody can.
Vs. is great, I bought it when it first came out and played it endlessly. A lot of the songs on this album are full of anguish, but I love it just the same. Favorites? Daughter would be #1 choice for me. RVM a close second.... wounds in the mirror wave......I gather speed from you fucking with me....
Great lyrics and the guitar on this album really rips!
You can't know what it's like, to bleed from here,
The blackened world goes white, it goes nowhere...

very hard to say...go and animal start the album off kicking ass..daughter brings it down a little , good though...shit, every song is good..i think dave A. deserves a lot of credit for that album...the drums kick ass, fast and on...i love the beginning riff of glorified g...blood is a good tune, the end get crazy ..but a good message...leash is a great ideal pj song..."get out of my fucing face"....indifference is great at the end..a lot of motivation ther and in the whole album..good song placement in terms of track number and squence
I know it may be extremely cliche but I absolutily love ...Small Town. I think it's the song that first got me into pearl jam. My parents already had ten and when I was at the beach I went out to a record and tape traders and bought Vs used for about 6 bucks. I didn't know then what I would be getting into!
"And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."
-Nietzsche
Jesus- how can i decide? Leash has sooooo much raw power- (ie. the first line- "Troubled souls unite, we got ourselves tonight). Blood- the band just goes nuts with some funky guitar lines. Daughter- like most pearl jam songs, well thought out and balenced song that represents what the pearl jam sound is like. I could see why people would choose "Dissident" but, i think Blood has the coolest sound. I've listened to VS so many times and its tough to decide. But i really like it. Sounds very very raw and Eddie goes nuts.
by the way, in order from most favored to less so: 1.Ten 2.VS. 3.Yield 4.Vitalogy 5.Lost Dogs 6.No code 7.Binaural
Glorifed g, its like im addicted to that song...its been stuck in my head all day during school, and in the middle of biology i just wanted to stand up and start singing "GLORFIED VERION OF A PELLET GUN!" But i held back, just incase i might look like an idiot.
I don't post alot. Sorry.
WEEW!
6/22/08 PEARL JAM IN DC, FIRST SHOW EVERRRRRRRRRRR FUCK YEEUH!
hey, i agreee with you i like so much the way Eddy shouts reeeeleease meee! and makes people (at least me) go craizy, something inside me says "hey men, this is what you need" and suddenly a weight carries out from my shoulders. garden is other special song people i know in my country (colombia) like it as well especially for things he said "i will walk with my hands bound.... what a special song. have you gone to concerts? tell me about since i have seen the videos, you know south america ..... thanks

I appreciate the post however it is a little off the topic. We are talking about the VS. record not TEN. That being said, cool that you like Release. That is my all time favorite PJ song. You should repost and talk about your favorite VS. song(s).
"I'll Ride the wave where it takes me. I'll Hold the pain. RELEASE ME!"
Glorified G. I really like the melody and guitars on this--the lyrics are "eh," but I enjoy it musically. McCready should write more stuff for Pearl Jam, like he did on Yield.
The song that gets me most emotional is probably RVM or Small Town, though.
Definitely Leash. Few songs can get me as pumped up for a fuckin revolution as Leash. It's gloriously youthful and idealistic, full of hope and righteous anger...
One of THE Pearl Jam songs, not necessarily just off VS. Along with DTE and Lukin, it makes me want to start a fuckin riot.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.
I know I started this thread talking about Leash(which I love) but I had to also give some props to W.M.A. and RATS. I love those songs too. Well actually I love all of 'em but those two are right up there. And now that I mention it, Glorified G gets me off too.
"I'll Ride the wave where it takes me. I'll Hold the pain. RELEASE ME!"
Leash. God, I absolutely love this song. So Freeing. This was the first song that really grabed me ten or twelve years ago when I first heard VS.. Today I was listening to an old import that I hadn't heard in years, and a live version of Leash came blaring through the speakers. Wow. So damn powerful. I hadn't listened to Leash in quite some time(especially live) and it was like new to me again. DROP THE LEASH! WE ARE YOUNG! So many great songs on VS. and this one takes the cake for me. What is your Fav.?
Put me down for another one of these. Live it would probably be Indifference as Leash doesnt get any live play.
Its been 8 years, but I still believe...PJ in NZ 06!
"No matter how cold the winter, theres a springtime ahead'
Such an awesome record--Indifference is my favorite.
What if I learned Russian or something, or took up an instrument. I could speak Chinese. I'd be the screenwriter who speaks Chinese and plays the oboe. That would be cool.

These days it's Rats
Live: Blood

i'll go with that followed by a tie between elderly woman and daughter.
Take my hand, my child of love
Come step inside my tears
Swim the magic ocean,
I've been crying all these years
