Cant believe they still haven't announced anything, which leads me to believe they're working on postponing rather than cancelling

Well, I did a quick search for some big European festivals (Wacken, Roskilde, Rock am Ring), and none was cancelled (yet). So why should they do it now?

How much clearer does it need to be? There is no chance this tour happens

They are probably figuring out the rescheduled dates first before announcing the Euro tour has been postponed.

There is more time to do this for Europe.  There was no time to reschedule the US tour.

Soccer championship are supposed to resume early June, there is a small chance ... on the other hand, if the situation is really bad in the US in April maybe US citizens will not be allowed to travel in Europe...

    2014 : Amsterdam 1&2, Milan, Berlin, Werchter
    2018 : Amsterdam 1&2, Pinkpop, London 1, Berlin, Werchter, London 2

Without spectators in most countries though, so that doesn’t help :(

Wimbledon canceled.  It was scheduled during the same time as the Hyde Park show.  Not looking good.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.

I'm starting to hope they might add a couple of shows to the summer 2021. Finland?

    So you’re saying there’s a chance?

A french radio dj, said Pearl Jam and Billie Eilish were both postponing the Euro tours to 2020. Now nothing is official until the PJ press release. But this guy (Zegut) is very well informed most of the time. It would be a serious bummer, but I’d rather have a safe concert in a year from now, than a concert full of fearfull concert goers
No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead...

Behind closed doors....not sure what it's like where you guys are but in europe we've pretty much accepted we're in lockdown for the next few months. This tour is not happening

Pinkpop is saying they will announce a decision by mid May or sooner.  Obviously that’s not a PJ show but that could be indicative of when we will hear about PJ.  Not that there’s really any suspense.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, the two biggest festivals in Germany that are supposed to be early June announced today that planning is on schedule and they expect to go ahead. Frankly, I think they're daydreaming.

Well they’re saying that the health officials have the last say. Maybe it’s an insurance thing?

Yeah that makes sense, same as most businesses didn't close until they were forced to

In some cases, the tour insurance doesn't kick in until there is a order to close down, the major events that have world wide travelers, sports are treated differently ..
  • I love Germany as I’ve got relatives there, plus we (were) are going to Frankfurt and Berlin for the tour openers but they’re living in cloud cuckoo land if they think it will be safe for big festivals to take place so early, not a chance of this tour going ahead, just waiting on the official announcement nowadays   :s

  • It really is curious they haven’t announced a postponement on this yet.  There’s zero chance large gatherings like this will be allowed in 2 months.

The Olympics were postponed.   Thought PJ was ahead of this.  Guess not.  Trumps not involved so Ed doesn’t care.  Or is he busy crafting some other bizarre message figuring out how he can slam him for the infection in Europe?  Lol.

Or, maybe, they don’t want to pay the out clause in their festival contracts.  This is like playing chicken with the airlines hoping to get a refund (good luck) instead of an e-credit.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

Some people always find something to complain about... when they postponed NA, some people cried hysteria. Now they're waiting some people cry injustice. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. BTW, they didn't slam Trump for the virus, they criticized a lack of guidance and communication. What does it matter if they're waiting another couple of weeks? Either you'll get refunds or you don't, that won't change by waiting a bit. And is it really so incomprehensible that they don't want to sit on huge costs and therefore wait for the authorities to shut the festivals down? It's not like the festivals themselves are doing it voluntarily. That doesn't mean anybody wants to endanger anyone.

They postponed NA with 9 days notice.  There are still 81 days before Frankfurt.  Obviously it’s not going to happen but they have plenty of time to say so.  If there is some advantage to them to wait for governments to state the obvious before they do I don’t blame them at all for waiting.  It’s not like any of us are going to do anything differently.

Well anyone short on cash that can get refunds sooner for cancelled shows might disagree with you.

And I’m not complaining.  I don’t care when or even if they do it.
