Is Back and Forth the Wasting Light doc where Krist shows up and plays?
I think that’s the Sound City documentary

90% of their non single album tracks, b-sides and covers are worthless drivel...same song structures and melodic content but without then hooks. So many butchered covers.

They used to push the 2 or 3 decent songs per album and that was fine, but the last two haven’t even had that.

They do have a nice catalog for a hits set.

Somehow they topped PJ20 for most generic band documentary with Back and Forth

If Foo has been better than PJ the last 10 years I’m assuming we’re discussing something besides music.
The great thing about art is that it’s subjective. What you are speaking is opinion, not fact. I love Foo Fighters, but I’m not going to post about it 10 times and beat it to death.

Would people prefer no Pearl Jam albums the last 6 years or two 5/10 PJ albums?
I'd personally prefer it if they didn't exist... but that is selfish. There are people who apparently like the last 2 albums.

  • I love the FFs, last couple albums have been meh. Wasting Light is a banger though and There is Nothing Left To Lose is amazing.

I saw 64 new replies in this thread and was excited to get some Pearl Jam news. :sleepy:

Listen to some interviews with the one who's still alive. He's amazing and got a great attitude towards it all. Cool cat.

I know, a topic about a band where its fans pretend to be active. Silly fans.

  • I've never been a fan of bands group-bowing at the end of shows.

never thought about it before. But I think I always disliked it.

A hand wave and a quick exit. Don't drag out the exit. Just leave. Drop-the-mic style. Rockbands need to be a bit more shitty towards the crowd in general.

Reminds me that Johnny Ramone always hated that Joey would hang out with the crowd before shows.  His thought was “make them think we’re doing something way cooler backstage”

Hahaha.  At one of the Mars Volta shows I went to they played over 2 hours.  Cedric didn’t say a single word to the crowd other than shouting Thank You at the very end right before slamming down the mic and walking off the stage.

On reflection I used like how Ed rarely said anything. It added some mystique.

Agreed.  IMO eddie talks wayyyy too much at shows now.  And I agree with spiritual, I hate the band bowing at the end of the show.
