premiered last night on HBO, Danny McBride new comedy about evangelical preachers

John Goodman, Adam Devine & my favorite Edi Patterson... she was also on vice principals, she has great comedic timing

i enjoyed episode 1, it’s remarkable as far out as this show is.... there really are morons who buy their preachers G20 airplane & mansions

    This is an instant classic. Surprised this thread hasn’t gotten more traction. 

    I think it’s, perhaps, even better than Eastbound and Down and Vice Principles.

    We just finished episode 5.  Danny McBride comedies are hilarious.
    I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

    Baby Billy is hilarious.  I crack up every time they say his name....ridiculous.  Also when he referred to himself as "Uncle Baby Billy"

    And Kelvin's assistant....that one opening scene was hilarious where Kelvin was bench pressing and his dude's balls were right in his face.

    I need to rewatch Vice Principals.  It's still hard to top Eastbound & Down...that was a classic

    Haha the scene where they show the wives the Video...….the fuckin kids saw their daddy fuck a hooker, then he says " That's not daddy honey, that's CGI" I nearly pissed myself

    The one stoner guy in the Gemstones band is the director of a lot of the episodes.  Jody Hill...

    This show is great

    Fantastic show. I was skeptical when it premiered because I'm not that big of a McBride fan as he plays the same role every time (and is doing it again) but this show is so good. The cast is great. Love Walton Goggins and Edi Patterson really blossomed as S1 went on. 

    Her monologue at Outback in S1 is an all time comedy scene. 


    Liked the first two episodes of S2 but I need more Baby Billy
