Man, I don't know. It's so hard to choose. But the first thing that popped into my head was:

"I know I was born and I know that I'll die; the in-between is mine."

Remember back, the early days, When you were young, and thus amazed, suddenly the channel changed the first time you saw blood.

    And I'm starting to believe
    That this hopeless... situation
Is what I'm trying to achieve

I'll just say it it...Sleight of hand is one great f'n song; Delivered juridically. Like hearing a sentencing in a court. You hang on every word. And Mike...I love hearing that song in my car at sunset or driving to work over mourning coffee. Gets me in the mood.

When I think of the line you wrote I can picture a man reaching out for his lost plan. The greatest idea he ever conjured; swept away by the toils of modern survival.

    In joyous part.

I can’t pick just one, there is way too many. But here a few of my favourites:
“All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our own lives. Choosing the shiny ones instead”
“Feel the path of everyday. Which road you taking?”
    The whole song “The End”
“I will scream my lungs out till it fills this room” (especially good live)
“I wish I was a radio song, the one that you turned up” (as the song fades, brilliant)
“To transcend where we are. Who are we? Who we are”
“I knew all the rules but the rules did not know me, guaranteed”

    Too many!

Really hard to pick a favourite as there are so many but when my Father died of cancer aged 73 I went to my mum who i was 72 at the time and said "mum I know you think me and my PEARL JAM obsession is beyond help but please listen to this song ,I think the words are so fitting of dad and would be lovely to play at the funeral should you agree."
Well through the tears in a heart broken voice mum said she had never heard such a beautiful song ,it was MAN OF THR HOUR
Days after the funeral my mum said it was endless the amount of people asking who sang that song, the priest, nuns my nieces and nephews family and friends ,numerous people from aged 13(no pun) to aged 77
Just a short note to express on a personal level why this band and Ed are what they are to most of you reading this, if you get it ,you get it .

ITS JUST GOODBYE FOR NOW. Dad , R.I.P
