I personally think they should just have UK/british artists do the songs. And if not, then My Morning Jacket should have done it.
I think this sounds like a middle of the road Bond song. Kind of like Skyfall but without the strong chorus. It's nice and feels Bond-y enough but it's no Skyfall, You Know My Name or Goldfinger.

Oh, man. I think it’s an instant classic Bond song—up there with “Goldfinger,” “For Your Eyes Only,” and “The World Is Not Enough.”
I would put “Skyfall” in the middle somewhere, and “You Know My Name” is awful—that was the worst Bond song since “Die Another Day”; it might even be worse.

It was the song directly after Die Another Day... so it would be both the worst and the best since Die Another Die...

Holy shit! It felt like a decade passed in between those two films. Casino Royale deserved a better song.

It's often hailed as the best of the Craig songs and one of the greatest. So you are a bit alone here. But I respect your opinion.
What are your 5 favorite songs?
ANd do you agree Ocopussy has the most underrated?

It just doesn’t sound like a Bond song at all to me. Neither does “Live and Let Die,” for that matter, but that’s just a classic tune. When I hear that one come on the radio, I never think of Bond, though. “You Know My Name” sounds like a B-side from an album that should’ve been shelved. There’s a reason we don’t hear that one on the radio.
My top five:
“Goldfinger” “The World Is Not Enough” “For Your Eyes Only” “GoldenEye” “No Time to Die” (instant classic; may work its way up)
And yes, I agree that “All Time High” is highly underrated.

How the hell "A View to a Kill" made it out of the first round is perplexing. By far the worst of them all, only redeeming quality was the Duran Duran song.
I've been binging the movies in order the last couple of weeks. Just got through the Dalton films yesterday.
What did you think so far? Other than the music in You Only Live Twice being the GOAT.
Well I've been watching Bond since the early 70s when my Dad took me to my first flick. Over the years I've seen more than others so it's been interesting watching the less popular ones.
As for the song whether it fits or not Live and Let Die is clearly the best. I did enjoy Thunderball and one Nancy Sinatra did stands out except I guess not well enough to remember the movie.

Like this one.
Boooooooooooooooring movie.
Even the Never say Never Again-"remake" is more fun.
Sam Smith, Madonna, and the Jack White/Alicia Keys one are way down at the bottom of the pile.
I found No Time To Die pretty underwhelming at first listen, I hope it will grow on me by the time the movie comes out.
