  • so hard, might have to say Vs. but Vitalogy was my first Pearl Jam album

    Vs.
  • I'd have to go with Vs. just because of how solid it is all the way through. Really tough though.

Don't be so quick to judge, you're being judged yourself.

    Vitalogy !!!
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.

  • vitalogy all the way... its the album that got me into the band babyyyy. even though it doesn't have rearviewmirror... or WMA... or indifference. dammit this is why i hate choosing one over the other...

its like picking a favorite child!

  • don't think i can ever put one pearl jam album against another one

  • You can never....... any sitiuation your in.... I mean.... Putting vitalogy on vinyl which is the best way to be heard, and that opening jam the whole album, is just the whole.. My whole life. its so hard to do this...i gotta go with vs.
    indifference does it for me
Life has nothing to do with killing time.
    So why be satisfied?
  • It's not really a choice for me. For all the charms of Vitalogy, Vs. was a seminal album for me. It made me the obsessive fan, I listened to it a billion times a day.
Vitalogy always seemed a little disjointed and not quite the group effort that the other PJ albums were. Eddie had to work through a few things and I'm glad he did, but I don't think I'd miss that as much on the deserted island.
Eternally 'shouting out' to old schoolers Lisa, Michelle, Julie, Chewdog and Sarah and thanking PJ for the opportunity to know them.
  • vs. hands down. whoever referred to vitalogy as "charming" is totally right IMO. but i still like vs. better.
  • I've changed my mind, Vitalogy, definitely :)

    Corduroy

    Bad ones:

    Immortality

  • I think Eddie was at his top during vitalogy (he comes close to that level again on riot act). The lyrics are just awesome. Maybe I just relate easier to the songs on vitalogy than to the ones on vs. After all most on vs. are about the band dealing with stardom.
  • I love them all but Vs is probably my favourite. The first three are brilliant and I think this album rocks the hardest.
Dear God, save me from your followers

    Avocados have a big Stone
  • what are you people talking about, "Vs is their worst album", i wish it was my worst album, get real , they^re both awesome albums, better than most albums that are in your local record shop, but dont put them up against eachother, put them both on your stereo and crank them up.
    Enjoy

    Dont spoil the jam.

    ED.
  • vitalogy

vs is so solid throughout yes, but vitalogy just has more soul. i wish immortality had ended the album though.. ;)

    I can't decide...they are both great albums
These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.
  • Vitalogy seems to be pretty popular here.

I love both, but I have to choose Vs. Blood, Rearviewmirror, Leash and Indifference - goosebumps every time...

  • I'm not much one to say "X better than X1"

Vs. has seen more CD play for me, but I believe that is mostly because of the grittier stuff.

Still, I'm surprised someone said Vs. is PJ's worst album - I would say the worst album is Merkinball - it only has two songs! (just kidding - those two songs are AWESOME!)

And the person who said Elderly Woman and RVM are no good? Woah, that's neat, I've never heard that before - I'd say "Hey Foxymopheadmamathat'sme" is my least favourite track ;D
