EV Solo US Tour

Hey all. Longtime lurker here.
I think it's nice that Eddie is going out and touring in Europe this summer, but I'm just confused as to why he hasn't toured the US properly since 2012. 
I know many people have complained about the lack of new music and that's a whole other ball of wax, but I'm just more confused by the blatant lack of US/CA shows by Eddie over the years. The band too honestly. 
Hopefully there will be more shows this year but I'm not exactly hopeful. I'm curious if anyone has any insight into what's mentioned above/a potential US tour from Eddie later this year.

    I think it might simply be that Eddie likes taking his family on European vacations and, by doing that via a tour, it not only costs him nothing but he'll also pocket a substantial pay day. They've probably seen all of America that they care to and that's why no U.S. tours.

    I do think that it's partly due to Ohana.  Its Eds festival and so he's going to headline one of the nights, and so there is one almost guaranteed EV show in the US every year at present.

    If he tours the US, then a percentage of fans would not travel to Ohana.

    No chance. He’ll make his money in Europe on a family vacation. And that’s that. There’s no chance Ohana would affect EV solo shows. Especially on the east coast.

    He's useless. It's one thing for him to play on songs that were conceived with him (LBC, Marker, etc.) but organ fills during Alive and RITFW just don't work. For me anyway.

    This actually happened in Newark, 2008 -- guy kept yelling "Play Porch!" and then came on here afterwards, posting in the fanview thread, "I don't know if you all heard me --- I was the guy yelling 'Play Porch!'" As I noted then, there were several guys outside of NJPAC after the show looking for the yeller and wanting to kick his a$$.

    Bottom line: NOBODY is going to an Ed solo show to hear *you* sing (or talk, or yell), unless you actually are EV.
    All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
