We already have that EP on CD. The RSD treatment should have been the full show. Another lazy, half-assed effort by the part-time band. I was hoping for some good news. Oh well, par for the course these days. I'll still buy it, but with almost no enthusiasm other than a new record for the shelf.

Easy Street Records will probably get 500-700 copies..
And probably an added 500 variant copies exclusive in store only at Easy Street Records.

Variant-editions are for artists jumping the KISS-lets-fleece-the-fanbase shark.

This is just going to be the CD pressed to wax quality wise, isn't it? No way this is mastered for LP from the original source material with the turnaround on these. It's just about having it available on another medium specific to RSD.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Do you need to ask? When has PJ ever done a vinyl specific master?

This was literally the four points I have been telling my friends would be the standard PJ fan response, haha.  Well done!

Haha, I guess I'm as predictable as the band.

Finding out that there are 6000 copies also means that I can sleep in again on RSD!

    Sad but true.
Just look at the course in recent years:
Oh look, official complete Soldier Field 1995 on vinyl, great! ...Fuck no, incomplete show again, damn..
Oh great, finally they decided to release a proper guitar score book with all albums, amazing! ...Wait, where the hell are the solos? what exactly is this lazy and incomplete effort?
Oh a boxset with all albums, great! ...(turns out they're just the regular reissues inside and people ended up paying big dollars for basically just a box and a wrongly numbered sheet..)
Oh great, a new song! ...Can't ... deny ... me. Enough said.
..but oh well, they're about to release the new album anyway, great! ..And one year after: people are still checking the meaning of the word "forthcoming" in the thesaurus. It's your grammar's fault, man, not the band.
..Oh amazing, full show from Easy Street Records 2005 this year... Er, no, just the CD version pressed on vinyl.
And I could go on, and on..
Being a fan of this band's music these days feels to me kinda like... wanting some good sex, and ended up watching videos on Pornhub.

..not always the case, I would say (lol)
..are we just trying to get this thread locked? Another joke about self-pollution and we're almost there, I think.

It’s Easy Street Records. Gatefold Vinyl.
    6000 US & 3000 International copies.
Will need to pick up one of each as one will probably be Made in the USA and the other will be Made in the EU.
  • Well I can rest easy knowing I won't get one of 6000. I wouldn't mind grabbing that Cortney Barnett or Foo/Queen releases.

Would love to have this be the whole show but still stoked anyways. Love that EP! High on Fire 'Bat Salad' is looking pretty fucking sick too!

Eh, over these RSD first releases, but also love them.  Don't have to wait in line like I did back in 2011, can grab it casually. This is cool though.
