Susto, Sturgill, Isbell, Mandolin Orange, Avett’s, Raconteurs, PJ?
Are Sturgill, Isbell, and the Avetts all coming out with new albums?  Or just wishful thinking?

    Haha, that's funny.

Isbell has been writing. He a big touring machine now. I wouldn't be surprised if he has something out by summer. Or at least a summe rtour and then a new record in the fall. Sturgill is due too.

I was guessing but Isbell consistently puts one out every other year or so and Sturgill is overdue and in the last interview I heard with him he’d been in the studio. I think he just had another kid though so that might slow it down.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I saw an interview in Nov where Sturgill said he was done recording the new album.

I think I saw an interview early last year where Sturgill said he already had the next record in the bag, or close to it. No telling where he'll go with it and can't wait to go along for the ride :sunglasses:

A part of me thinks they are making enough music for 2 albums and they will release them a couple month apart...that would be very un-tool-like.

But then the next album would be 20 years later :(

I read a quote somewhere from Seth I think that said the Avett's plan to release a new album this year.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Pearl Jam
    Tool
    Meat Puppets (March)
Lydia Loveless (She has been reported as recording in Wilco's studio in Chicago so I'm guessing she will release something in 2019.)

You see me empty, Sir, do not pause and inquire, simply assume and refill.
