It's a bad problem.In Vancouver the police really can't do much about this terrible money laundering situation. It's the laws and tax loopholes and cracks in the system that allows China to do these things more than anything else. So the new BC NDP government has taken some steps to try and curb it. I.e. new provincial casino regulations that prevent these criminals from laundering their money through the casinos, which was a HUGE problem that the BC Libs chose to COMPLETELY ignore (it's absolutely unreal what the BC Libs let slide for 16 years man - they are corrupt SCUM, without a doubt, and they did nothing to encourage the RCMP to really confront the crisis). They've also dramatically increased taxes for empty homes in Vancouver in an attempt to make laundering through real estate less appealing, but more needs to be done there. And there is more attention being paid to all the corrupt Chinese real estate agents who make it all work too... Shit like that. Plus a major Chinese crime ring (The Big Circle Boys) with ties to the Chinese military and government and are the biggest dealers of Chinese Fentanyl, the profits from which are also laundered through Vancouver real estate deals and illegal Richmond Chinese casinos, has recently been identified after a long police investigation, but that has just broke recently, so we're still waiting to see how that all goes......... Yeah. Vancouver's a total fucking disastrous mess, mostly thanks to China, Chinese criminals, and the recently-ousted BC Liberals. This gave me hope, Apple said if the tariffs reach 25%, they are leaving China. I know Apple will not bring the jobs here, but they do have facilities in SA, which is a little better. Week governments like in Canada allow this to happen. It's not just our PM, our previous PM was ass kissing China. Do people keep telling me we need China, why? I do not see the Chinese companies anywhere where I live. To me, they are just buying up our resources. I'd like to stop selling resources to China. As far as I'm concerned the Chinese are holding 2 of our citizens as hostages. China needs to release them or we start kicking out their citizens...
