    This is a big deal... I don't even know what to say about it now. I just want to wait and see how it all shakes out I guess. I di know i am glad that the dangers of that company and 5G technology are really being highlighted and talked about more finally.

    Amazing countries are banning this company from their 5G networks, yet Trudeau can't make the same commitment...

Now that they're out, China is suddenly having a much harder time with their very, very important international money laundering hub of Vancouver. And now this woman is arrested... yes, China is getting antsy about their position in Vancouver. It's a big part of their master plan.
    I'm really quite worried about this whole situation. I'm worried that China's threats are going to work. That Trudeau is going to somehow back down here.... but maybe that would be best. WTF kind of retaliation are we talking about, beyond detaining this ex-diplomat, which is bad enough?????
    And btw, WTF is the USA saying or doing about this???? I'm not seeing anything about that on the news so far.     What are you missing? The US/Canada have law enforcement agreements. The US requested that Canada detain and extradite Meng to face charges in the US for violating technology/trade embargoes on Iran. If Canada extradites her to the US, she'll face charges in court and be provided an attorney, probably by China. If found innocent by a jury, she'll be released and deported back to China. If she's found guilty, she'll be sentenced. The US is waiting for the Canadian court system to do its thing. The US is sitting by waiting for it to rule. What would you like the US to do (don't expect Team Trump Treason to do anyhting as he's completely clueless, my apologies on behalf of the American public that didn't vote for the idiot)?

    That's not what I mean. I know all that. What I mean is that I'm missing any news about what the US is saying about this Chinese "retaliation". What are they saying in support of Canada? Are they even talking to Canada about this aspect of the situation? I've not seen anything about it. Of course, what do I expect with Trump at the helm??

    Your concerns are valid.  What are the police doing to shut down the money laundering?  With China, you are not dealing with rational people, this is how they react.  There is nothing Trudeau can do, the Americans filed an extradition request ... as far as I understand we are obligated to extradite.  I think if the judge were to deny her bail, she'd let herself get extradited ... it can 2 years to get a hearing, doubt she wants to sit in jail for 2 years, just to be extradited anyways...if she gets bail, she be in China within 2 days.  I have very little faith they we will keep her here.  I doubt this a big story in the US.  They should be banned from the 5G network.

    It's totally true. It is absolutely their intention to do this. Anyone who doesn't think so is almost impossibly naive. What concerns me is how complacent governments are about it, especially Canada's, and BC's, or at least up until recently... The Chinese managed to buy the BC Liberals. Now that they're out, China is suddenly having a much harder time with their very, very important international money laundering hub of Vancouver. And now this woman is arrested... yes, China is getting antsy about their position in Vancouver. It's a big part of their master plan.
    I'm really quite worried about this whole situation. I'm worried that China's threats are going to work. That Trudeau is going to somehow back down here.... but maybe that would be best. WTF kind of retaliation are we talking about, beyond detaining this ex-diplomat, which is bad enough?????
    And btw, WTF is the USA saying or doing about this???? I'm not seeing anything about that on the news so far. It seems to me that Canada is going through this for the United States, and to me is seems like the US is just sitting back and taking in the show or something. Am I missing some news or what?
    Your concerns are valid.  What are the police doing to shut down the money laundering?  With China, you are not dealing with rational people, this is how they react.  There is nothing Trudeau can do, the Americans filed an extradition request ... as far as I understand we are obligated to extradite.  I think if the judge were to deny her bail, she'd let herself get extradited ... it can 2 years to get a hearing, doubt she wants to sit in jail for 2 years, just to be extradited anyways...if she gets bail, she be in China within 2 days.  I have very little faith they we will keep her here.  I doubt this a big story in the US.  They should be banned from the 5G network.
    I'm not suggesting Trudeau interfere with the legal process of this case. Of course he can't do that. I'm talking about what Trudeau is doing 1) about these threats (I'm sure he's doing something or will), and 2) about the laws involving Chinese finances and purchases in Canada. It's a bad problem.
    In Vancouver the police really can't do much about this terrible money laundering situation. It's the laws and tax loopholes and cracks in the system that allows China to do these things more than anything else. So the new BC NDP government has taken some steps to try and curb it. I.e. new provincial casino regulations that prevent these criminals from laundering their money through the casinos, which was a HUGE problem that the BC Libs chose to COMPLETELY ignore (it's absolutely unreal what the BC Libs let slide for 16 years man - they are corrupt SCUM, without a doubt, and they did nothing to encourage the RCMP to really confront the crisis). They've also dramatically increased taxes for empty homes in Vancouver in an attempt to make laundering through real estate less appealing, but more needs to be done there. And there is more attention being paid to all the corrupt Chinese real estate agents who make it all work too... Shit like that. Plus a major Chinese crime ring (The Big Circle Boys) with ties to the Chinese military and government and are the biggest dealers of Chinese Fentanyl, the profits from which are also laundered through Vancouver real estate deals and illegal Richmond Chinese casinos, has recently been identified after a long police investigation, but that has just broke recently, so we're still waiting to see how that all goes......... Yeah. Vancouver's a total fucking disastrous mess, mostly thanks to China, Chinese criminals, and the recently-ousted BC Liberals. These issues have literally ruined the city, and a massive part of why we're in the midst of a terrible housing affordability crisis too.

    This gave me hope, Apple said if the tariffs reach 25%, they are leaving China.  I know Apple will not bring the jobs here, but they do have facilities in SA, which is a little better.  Obviously, ideally, it would be nice if they built in NA.

    A second Canadian has been arrested by the Chinese, Does Trudeau not realize, we can also retaliate and should...start by banning them from the 5G network and boycott their products.  I know someone who had their phone, had to go in for repairs 3 times in a year, after the 3rd incident his provider allowed him to swap it for a Samsung, which to this day has never failed.
