There is no way she is running. She went through too much in the last election. Agree completely that she would have been a great president and I don't get why the Lewinsky thing should hang around her neck. She didn't have the affair, Bill did. She was the pissed off spouse. Amazing.Gern Blansten said:She isn't running. I'm amazed at how the "left wing media" helps to destroy her. She would have been a great president. Most of us voted for her so take that.
I don't get 'go away Hillary' but the opinion is that she will run and lose - that was a choice in the poll but no one chose it. Instead people are telling her to go away. Why should she disappear from view? It's how people have treated her for her entire life in the the public eye.
I would never feel sorry for any politician in this day and age who rose to the level she did. You don't get there by shaking hands and kissing babies. You make backroom deals and sell people/country out for campaign donations.0 -
She isnt running.
I never said to feel sorry for her, I just don't understand the hostility. Instead of choosing 'She will run but lose, not got nominated" etc, which were all choices that were expressed in posts, people chose 'go away Hilary' in the poll.bootlegger10 said:njnancy said:

She's a political animal, highly ambitious, she's made deals. Now choose which of the choices that you really believe.
I just find the overwhelming 'Go away' sentiment to be distasteful. That's just my opinion.0 -

She is running and will lose the nominationIf an ambitious man had failed to beat Donald Trump in the general election, I would want him to go away too.___________________________________________

Many Dems, including me, are screaming for her to go away because Trumps best path to four more years is for her to win the nomination.
Many 2016 observers warned her that she was not connecting with voters, that drawing at best crowds of 5000 with plenty of empty seats, by not being able to cast a clear message, that by not having a clear and concise explanation for her email controversy, that by lecturing voters " he is not qualified" all of this is no way to win a general election.
And she told those worried back in 2016 that despite the polls she was in grave danger of losing...her team told everyone concerned that trump was actually going to win, she told them all to STFU. Typical clinton smugness.
So yeah, after losing 2016 and doing significant harm to our country, go away Hillary. You are where you are because your Husband knows how to connect with voters, not you.

Perhaps understanding a metaphor will help understand why some are Figuratively screaming at Hillary.
Running up the popular vote in NY & CA is meaningless and citing that may be ridiculous
Not connecting with voters in those 3 states mentioned turned out to be the most meaningful fail that will impact the Supreme Court for 40 years.0 -

Yeah it's amazing people make that argument. I made that argument for Gore in 2000...but I was only 16-years-old. It's amazing to see grown adults who can make a dozens of arguments about why Trump shouldn't be president, settle on that one.Lerxst1992 said:Gern Blansten said:

I'm of the belief (as many are) that the system needs changing. I'm not suggesting abolishing the electoral college. But the "winner-take-all" aspect of it is flawed. I think the electoral votes of each state should be split depending on how big of a percentage you of the state's vote you win. Or, each congressional district in a state could have their own amount of votes. This way, the candidates would have to campaign in California and Texas because putting a dent in your opponent's margin in those states would matter. Presidential candidates don't stop in Dallas or Los Angeles at all, yet they'll campaign in Scranton, PA a dozen times. That's a broken system.

The electoral votes themselves are jacked up as well. I know we change them every 10 years but the idea of each state having 2 senatorial votes is kind of weird....2 votes represent California, 2 votes represent South Dakota which has the population of one small city in CA.Ledbetterman10 said:

Go away HillaryYeah, I don't have a solution, but it's all fucked up.
The entire government has been hijacked by a minority of voters. I saw some crazy statistics, something like 20 million more voters were represented by representatives who voted "no" on Kavanaugh than yes.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -

I would say that the sign of a broken system is that apparently where a person lives makes their vote less important as another vote. I don't think its unfair to say that a vote in NY or CA should count the same as a vote in Alabama.Ledbetterman10 said:
