On January 16th, members of Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Audioslave will takeover the Forum in Los Angeles for “I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell.”

The event, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and special guests, will feature special performance by Foo Fighters, Metallic, Ryan Adams, and more.

In keeping with Chris’ vision to protect the world’s most vulnerable children, the evening will benefit the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation as well as The Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.

TICKETS  - on sale Fri , Nov. 16th @ 10am PST
Includes 1 copy of Chris Cornell’s Retrospective

    Oh, wow!  If I lived in SoCal still, I would be there.  Hope those who go have a great experience and that there is video for the rest of us.  (PPV?)

    On sale the same day as Backstreet Boys tickets to Scandinavium Arena here in Gothenburg.

    Maybe I should take a trip to LA instead...

    Anyone else find it a bit strange that it says 'members of Soundgarden, temple of the dog and audioslave' but no members pearl jam? 

    Foo fighters, Metallica and Ryan Adams (for some reason) also appearing and get a mention but again....no pearl jam or Eddie???

    What's going on? Can anyone explain??

    I would imagine that the details haven't been 100% finalized. I would also imagine that Eddie may never sing his part of Hunger Strike again.

    Probably because Cornell was in those bands.  He wasn't in Pearl Jam (I know you know that).

    Chris was a member of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. Chris was not a member of Pearl Jam. I don't find it strange at all that the event is advertised as such. It's a Chris Cornell tribute - clearly the emphasis is on the fact that members of HIS former bands will be paying tribute to him.

    Why would Pearl Jam or Eddie be mentioned when neither Pearl Jam nor Eddie will be performing? Now THAT would be strange...

    TOTD is basically pearl jam
    maybe it means without eddie

    I wish this was in Seattle. But happy that we did have our first Chris Cornell tribute on his birthday. It was held at the historic Crocodile.

    Ok yeah I get that. It's just Chris and Eddie (and PJ) had such a close relationship I'm just surprised there's no mention...but I see your point. Well said.

    It's also helping raise money for EB. Being a cause that Ed has been really involved in, I think there's a decent chance he will be there.

    Edit - not that he needs that incentive to be there

    Glad he's being honored. Nice talented person I had the pleasure of watching scream his lungs out-louder than love-and kick the ceiling tiles out of city gardens. He was the original club climber after all. Lots of love to family & fans forever...
