Medicare for all isn't clueless....there is no logical argument that you could make that would lead anyone with a brain larger than a pea to believe that it wouldn't be cheaper.  That's easy logic.

Sinema up by 1.7%.  Lead is growing.  She's up by 4%!! in Maricopa, and that's with a Green candidate on the ballot.  I'm really not sure how McSally closes the gap in the small counties that are left.  And Trump is busy blaming the Democrats for the 600 pt Dow drop.

The ride is ending.  By 2020, we'll be in a recession and Trump will have zero levers to pull to get us out of it. That's what happens when you cut taxes during a Bull market.  Doi...

This isn't about what anyone is rooting for, these are facts.  You don't cut taxes and increase the deficit and debt during a bull market, one that was 8 years long.  This was the time we should have been reducing the debt load and dealing with entitlements. But that window has closed now.  Remember that the Dow is a leading indicator.  Unemployment numbers are lagging.

I made a hundred dollar bet with someone that the market would be recessionary by end of Q2 2019.   We made the bet right when the tax cuts were passed.  So maybe I'm hoping for a little recession so I don't lose a whole hundred dollars.

Fortunately the fed has maintained its independence despite Trump and his public pronouncements against raising the discount rate.  They have rightly raised them so at least we can possibly control the depths.  I don't imagine it will come close to 2009 but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dow move back towards 20.  We are absolutely due for a Bear.

Most of us realize the economy is cyclical and that nothing lasts forever. We also know it’s been 96 months of sustained growth, unprecedented, and that GDP growth needs to be 4% or better, quarter over quarter for 10 years to pay for the tax cuts. Again, unprecedented. Some people are stupid. Some people are not.

Economics has always been my weakness. I understand on a basic level but by no means understand the market, etc. And I'm not invested in anything so there is no reason for me to be on top of it. Perhaps I should I educate myself, but I remember macro and micro in college and it was the one thing that I never really got. Oh, and architecture.

Anyway, these posts help because longer articles on the economy lose my interest.

Easy answer... socialism is the bumper sticker that describes the candidate to most... it's the same noose around Bernies neck... the bumper sticker isnt always a good thing, it can be a bad thing.

No matter what she does, or what Bernie does, the immediate label (bumper sticker) in most peoples heads applied to them will be "Socialist"

Why do you think Trump gives opponents names mocking them? They are bumper stickers and they work. He's branding his oppenents, and it sticks. Just ask Pocahontas

Does anybody remember Hillary's policy platform? I dont, and i voted for her. That tells me most dont remember or never really knew. Her platform was "i'm not him".... but EVERYBODY remembers Crooked Hillary, and always will

Almost immediately after the 2012 election Trump copyrighted "Make America Great Again"
