Nirvana is the most overrated band of my lifetime.

    You're despised!
I wonder if there was ever any deliberation about naming the song You're rather than You Are.   =)

Self-Titled/Avocado is a top 5 Pearl Jam album.

    No Code is not.

    • I think it is a great thing that Dirty Frank is not played
    • I find NAIS boring
    • I think Stone is a better guitar player than Mike and wish Mike would not play Eruption b/c he does not have EVH's chops or tone
    • I really would like to see PJ open with Yellow Ledbetter
    • Non PJ - I hate the Doors and find Radiohead meh outside of a few songs

One of the highlights of this tour. Amazing.
one of the highlights of wrigley 2 for me was that it wasn’t played.

Using any of the following phrases is really really lame:
    1. Uncle Neil (you aren’t in the band and he isn’t your uncle.)
    2. Jamily
    3. It doesn’t get “Eddie Vedder” than this. (No, no and no.)

This is kind of in line with saying "We won the division this year" but the person is not a member of a pro sports team.  They are a fan.

Seeing the band 200 times I'm weirded out about. Going to a PJ gig is possibly my favourite thing in the world to do-I've done it nine times in seven countries and I treasure every chance I get-and would have seen a lot more. However 200? I reckon I'd lose the enjoyment of it especially after having seen pretty much every song I'd love to see and getting a buzzkill if I didn't see a white whale.

Backspacer is my favourite album since Yield and Amongst The Waves blew me away as much as any old stuff if not more.

When Matt Chamberlain replaced Matt Cameron for the Soundgarden tour I was thinking I'd kinda prefer him staying with Soundgarden and Dave Krusen playing with Pearl Jam again instead-the Jack Irons stuff would sound better with his backbeat.

Isn’t that something Pearl Jam calls them?  If you are a fan can’t you just say “I like Neil young”?

Shoot my bad.  I misunderstood you lol.
I have the same complaint too.
Correct statement: the Yankees were awesome last night.
Incorrect: we were awesome last night against the a’s.

    Exactly!
I'm pretty sure that Ed says "We" when talking about the Cubs.  But then again, he's friends with half the team, the manager, the GM, the owners, groundskeeper... so maybe he can get away with it.  lol.

Oceans is a terrible opener. Every other song they open with is better.
    Sirens is a great song.
Ten is probably their 3rd, maybe 4th best record.
Backspacer is almost unlistenable, but Lightning Bolt is pretty damn good.
Most grunge/90's Seattle music is garbage.
I'd rather not go see PJ than sit in the stand at a stadium.
Waiting more than 10 minutes for merch is a waste of time.

  • They should have sets that focus on the music over the vocals.   A 3 hour set of

Inside Job, long form Rearviewmirror, SRV version Little Wing (ie no vocals, just Mike), etc. would be awesome.

And it it would save Ed’s choice for the next night of “shorts” filled with Lukin, Blood, Leash, etc.

    Night 1 -12 songs
    night 2 - 47.5 songs
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
