this is actually quite accurate, only that the band will take a brief tour to the UK (like they did the US) this year to keep the live energy kicking along, and Eddie will treat the major Euro cities to a leg of his solo tour whilst they gear up for the release

Would love to know what venues Eddie would play in England. I really don't know if they will sell well?

Eddie would sell out the royal albert hall in minutes. Guaranteed

he may not be a household name still, but on the music scene and those in the know his name is still gold...have you seen the reactions to his guest appearances on things like 7 worlds collide and the who??

There's no guarantee of that. It took them over a year to make the self-titled album.

I'll go with the new album, too. They can't just tour the same material around all the time. That's when bands risk becoming nostalgia acts.
Can't escape from the common rule...
If you hate something, don't you do it too

If we are getting a new album in 4 months they should be about ready to wrap it up very soon. My money is on next fall... just my opinion
  • I'm actually 'hoping' the new album comes out late 09 so I can save up to see about 10 shows in 2010 and buy all or most of the boots...

Boy, I tend to agree with this, based on all the "snip-its" that have been floating around...hope to God we don't have to wait until Oct!!!

Personally, I don't see PJ ever becoming a nostaligic act, even if they have 5 or more years between albums from here on out. imho.....

Eventually there new material will slow down...

absolutely - strong new material before any new tours.

i'll say it...I want both! New album and tour!! I know it's cutting it close, but that's what I want.
If I had to pick one...TOUR!! It never gets old for me.
PJ will never become a nostaligic act.

have you ever seen them live?
not to be disrespectful or anything but the experience of a pearl jam show is at least ten times more intense then hearing new stuff from them

well, to each his own I guess.

Yes I have back in 06, but I'd rather hear some new material. Besides not everybody has a chance to see them even if they do a world tour.

ummmm i am salivating at the thought of hearing new material...

a tour is awesome...but how about both? if they come out with a new album, chances are they will do a tour at least a couple months after it.

majority of us have seen them live, and thats the thing..what they'll do live will be more or less similar to what they did 08, and 06, a new album could be...anything. Its completely unknown coming from most of ours' favorite artists, what could be better then that?
