Most indications are that 20-35 made it out of the shop (based on sequence #'s people received) before sales were halted. Unknown where the remainder ended up...
Ames either destroyed them or (more likely) put them in storage.
Never understood the fascination with these - yes, they’re rare but they aren’t official and weren’t created for the shows.
I’m only fascinated wth Pittsburgh because it was my first show and I really like the art. Love karting! And while it may not be official, it does appear on the Tour page listing for that show. (But Atlanta & Chicago do not.)

I love all this deep poster info. Does anyone know the history of why the sales of the poster were halted ?
My guess is that the gun imagery on the Blackie was the reason it was halted. 3 posters, one with a gun and another misspelled, so I think they bailed on the idea.
The band does take issue with certain images. Examples: The original Randall's 96 design had some drug imagery on it, and I suspect that's why that one was nixed. And the Merriweather 96 originally had nudity on it, hence why there's the awkwardly placed shell over the mermaid.
Pittsburgh was officially made, just not officially released because of the typo.
first time I have heard this, is this a guess or did you find out some how? What is the the connection between this artist and the other two?

so, were there designs that never saw the light of day for the other 2000 shows that didn't have official posters? if these three made it out, I was just wondering if there is a pile of 10/8/00 east troy "ice bowl" posters lying around somewhere. i'm pretty bummed that I don't have anything show-specific from my first show. hell, the binaural t-shirt I bought even says Milwaukee, rather than east troy.

Same here, the bootleg CD and ticket stub are the closest things I'll ever have to show specific Pittsburgh 2000 items. The poster at least exists - albeit "unofficially" - but has far exceeded any amount of money I could ever spend a sheet of paper.
I remember buying a poster at the ATL show in 2000 thinking it was the official show print. I didn't even look at it really well until I got home and realized it was the astronaut poster from Europe. I would love to have the "real" Atlanta poster from 2000. how many of them are out there? anyone know?

Hi everyone. Uncle Snuffy here. As you may or may not know I am selling off my busdy’s entire collection...which inclueds the Blackie. He purchased the poster in 2004 from its original owner who bought it from Missing Link. I am honest and reputable. I would never try to sell a fake or bootleg anything. I believe you can even check my past posts on the forum referencing his poster over the years.
I personally own a signed/numbered Blackie. So before I listed his I did a side by side comparison. I’m no licensed art appraiser but in my opinion the paper, ink, texture, image, etc is all correct/legit.
i have 100% positive eBay feedback. My buddy has 100% positive eBay feedback. We have both been PJ fans from the start and collecting since then as well. In the future I will be listing fan club mailings from the early ‘90s. That’s how far back he goes.
My friend said he’d be happy to speak with anyone about the poster. His name is Tony K. Forum ID is bustout. eBay id is bustout7676. And he said he’d even be ok giving out his phone # (773) 573-3238. Feel free to contact him. TK is a stand up guy and a great friend of mine.
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to address any concerns you may have. And for those of you also on Facebook please feel free to share this information over there as well.
Thanks
Uncle Snuffy
The asking price for this poster has been reduced. Updated pix were also added. If interested go take a look and let me know if there are any questions. Thanks!

It has been mentioned that all "Missing Link" posters came serial numbered because they were AP's.
So who actually bought one when they first came out?
Who bought one on the secondary market and when?
Sorry to resurrect such a dormant thread...
I do not remember receiving the posted "Missing Link" email, but I did purchased the 2000 "Pittsburg" poster in the summer of 2001. Granted it was 21 years ago, and I was on the Ames distribution list, but my recollection was it shipped directly from Ames. Maybe an incorrect assumption at the time. The poster is signed in the bottom left by Koo Chung and is numbered out of /125. This is all I know.
I am not a merch hunter. I was on the Ames distribution list in 2000 because I had purchased a few t-shirts. In fact, I only purchased this poster because it was my first Pearl Jam concert, it was ~$20, and I thought it would be a cool memento. It's the only concert poster I own. Until today I had no idea it was rare, sought after, or contained any value at all. I'll be hanging it this afternoon and looking at it from a completely new perspective.
Pearl Jam and this community continue surprise and add great joy to our lives. Cheers!
St. Louis 98 has to be hovering there based on listings - the last busted one on ebay went for 3500. And it was jacked.
