seriously this whole seating thing and people complaining where they sit is obnoxious!!!!!

this is coming from someone who just had their closet seating experience at Tampa 2008!!!!! and been in the fanclub for god knows how long

how about just enjoying the show even if you sit in nosebleed???

thank you 10c and all the diehard fans who rock out ANYWHERE!!!

I think it very much matters where you sit. not in terms of close/far from the stage like you're implying. but rather in terms of who you're sitting around. I would find it hard to sing at the top of my lungs and head bang if everyone within 5 feet were standing there with their arms crossed. and THAT'S why I love the fanclub seats.

Geez, I REALLY thought the current system would end - or at least severely curtail - the bitching about the seniority rule.

I posted this in another thread and will add it again:

The current system - when it works correctly, which is 99% of the time, I think - is as good as it gets. I very much like the new system because it's a great compromise. It still rewards the old timers like me, but it gives the newer members a shot at great seats.

To the people who say ALL the tickets should be via a lottery: get a life. The seniority system rewards fans who've stuck with PJ forever. Not coincidentally, these are the same people likely to travel to lots of shows. Would I be going to 9 shows this tour if I didn't know my # would get me a great seat? No, so the seniority system is both a nice reward and also a smart sales tactic for the 10C.

Face it: if I didn't know my # guaranteed me good seats, what incentive would there be to be in the club in non-tour years? If it's a lottery for ALL the seats, I'd just drop my membership until I know a tour's coming, and I wouldn't be alone. Changing the seniority seating system would probably kill the 10C due to all the money they'd lose.
