So... what was the best show of the Home/Away?

on2legson2legs Standing in the Jersey rain… Posts: 14,426
Now that the mini tour is over do we have a winner for best show?

I’m curious to know if one really stood out, especially if you attended all seven.

Only attended 3 but do think Seattle 2 was the clear winner. Boston 1 will go down as my favorite but Seattle was the best.

Seattle 2 should win this handily. I have been to 7 ballpark shows since 2016 and it is my second favourite ballpark show behind Fenway 2 2016.

Saw them "only" in Seattle and Chicago.

    I voted for Seattle 2,
it was unbeatable and phenomenal for me, definitely top 3 out of the 25 shows of mine!
    Chicago 1 was close though.

Only went to the Fenways, but judging by setlists on paper, Seattle 2 is the clear winner, IMO

I'm never any good at ranking things unless it's in tiers, so the 6 ballpark shows I've seen since 2013 shake out like this:

    Top:

Some order of Seattle 2 and Fenway 2 2016.

    Middle: Wrigley 2013 and Fenway 1 2018.

    Bottom: Fenway 1 2016 and Fenway 2 2018.

Not a bad show in the bunch and I am thankful I got too see each one. Every ballpark show thus far has felt like a special occasion.

I was only at the Wrigley shows. It sounds like the Seattle 2 show wins in a landslide.

Hit both Seattle shows, Missoula show and both Chicago shows. Chicago 2 was really cool with the rain and all but Seattle 2 was goosebump giving.

    I attended Seattle 1 & 2, Missoula & Wrigley 1...
    Seattle 2 was INCREDIBLE!!
It's definitely one of the top 5 PJ shows I've seen.
From the 2018 US shows I saw, I'd put Wrigley 1 as #2, Missoula as #3 (finally got FATAL here) and Seattle 1 at #4.

Personally, I just don’t think any ballpark show will ever match the magical clusterfuck that was the first Wrigley show.

Wrigley 2013 was special. At the time it felt like something that might never happen again, and the planned setlist that night might have turned in an all-timer. The rains of course came and plans changed, but still the show we got was awesome.

Seattle 2 was a much better show but Seattle 1 was special just by the openers. Long Road into Release....that, to me, set the tone for the two shows.
Another reason the Seattle shows meant so much is that I had just moved back to Chicago exactly 17 days before the first show. I missed my adopted city but give me a couple years and I'll come back.

I may be a little prejudiced, and I only attended the Fenway shows, but having Eddie mention my being there with my mother whom I met 18 weeks earlier after 47+ years made the 2nd night that much more special.

Surprised at how low you have Boston 2 2016. I have been to 7 of the 11 shows and it is easily at the top with Seattle 2 behind it. The energy from the crowd and the set are both the best that I have seen from the ballpark shows. Everyone has different tastes/experiences I guess!

My list would go something like this of the 7 that I went to.

    1. Fenway 2 2016
    2. Seattle 2 2018
    3. Wrigley 2 2016

4-7 can be interchanged in place any given day.
