So our once-in-a-lifetime trip ended after our first-ever shows in The Netherlands, were fortunate enough to have attended both Amsterdam shows and Pinkpop. Truth be told we still haven't yet come down from that high, real-life seems so mundane now. How do you get back to waking up and going to work like before? Is this the reason people go back and see them 20, 50 and 90 times??
It took us 5 years to save and plan for these 3 shows.. now to begin saving for another 5 years.. hopefully get to see them in Seattle!!!!
For now, here's a little video of our trip.. ended up having a whole song in it, the first song we ever saw them perform live. Thank you to all the 10Club members we met along the way, made some real life-long friends. And thank you Pearl Jam for being what you guys are.. don't ever stop!!!

    I've posted this before but after I saw them in Toronto in 2011 something in me changed. Seriously. I became addicted to the bootlegs - listened to them daily, made compilation after compilation after compilation. I'd like to say that I attended a plethora of shows afterwards/since then (I've seen six since that night) but family/financial constraints have kept me in check somewhat. 

    Anyway, you are not alone!

    Bootlegs help.
    I listened on a daily basis to PJ bootlegs while commuting to work (3h per day) since 2014 and I have never felt bored.
    Financially wise, I would recommend to subscribe to nugs instead of buying CD.

    I go and see other bands.  For me the anticipation of going to a show is almost as important as going to the show.   It's always nice to have something to look forward too.   I'm seeing Foo Fighters tomorrow, but it's going to be a long drought after that :(   Switched jobs, so I make a little less for a while.  Need to be financially responsible....

    It is difficult.  Channel 22 helps.  Start of NFL season as well.  And I'm giving myself a special project.

    It really was! I'm still kicking myself for not going to night 2. I can't remember if I was even able to attend but it had one heck of a setlist and paired very nicely with the songs from night 1. 

    There are a few threads out there asking, "If you could go back in time and attend any PJ show, which would it be?", my answer is always 2011-09-12, Toronto - although it would have been pretty cool to see them in 1993-1996.

    I’ll be honest it sucks. I still haven’t been the same since Wrigley this year. The worst part is knowing that I don’t have the next show to look forward to. Who knows when the next chance is to get to see them will be?  No other band makes me feel the way PJ does live. (And I’ve seen A LOT of bands)

    It appears that you saw twice as many shows as me this summer as I too saw Radiohead (2x Toronto) and Pearl Jam (2x Seattle). All four shows that I attended were outstanding. Like you, I don't know what to look forward to anymore.

    Hit this, this morning.  Foo Fighters was the last show I was holding tickets for.  Was looking forward to PJx2 and Foo Fighters all summer long.  Now back to reality.... until next summer :)  allthough all the 90s bands just toured this area.  Between Vancouver/Seattle,  PJ, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, and STP all toured around here.    I allocated my resources accordingly, but what does that leave for next summer?  Hopefully Tool :)

Can't help but wonder/hope if they'll come around again (to Vancouver) but I'm not holding my breath. Ah well, at least I got the live stream.

    Yah, I couldn't justify going back to Seattle a 2nd or 3rd time (for AiC or the Pumpkins).  Pumpkins would of been my first choice as I haven't seen them since '97 (and I saw AiC open for GNR 2 years ago).    Seattle's so expensive in the summer.  Between ferries, gas, food, tickets, hotel it really ads up.   Foo Fighters was much easier because it was a Saturday and it was in Vancouver.    I was hoping the pumpkins would do a Vancouver show but they seem to have skipped it.  Went to Alberta from Seattle totally skipping BC.   I googled it and noticed they cancelled their last show in Vancouver without a reason (usually means low ticket sales).  Maybe they didn't think they could pull off an arena show here :(

    I haven't been checking of late but do a lot of bands come through Vancouver (just moved to the area from the Toronto area)? I know PJ came through most recently in 2009, 2011, and 2013 (plus that festival not too far away in 2016). U2 started two of their last three tours here. You mentioned the Foo Fighters. Has anyone else of similar stature performed in Vancouver lately?

    The Pumpkins did two shows in Alberta, didn't they? Surprising.

    Yup. Saw Pixies/Weezer, Foo Fighters, and PJ x2 this summer. Major post-concert crash setting in. I'm getting through it by enjoying smaller (cough, cheaper) shows... and also yeah, bootlegs.

    I have Jack White to hold me out till the end of the year in Moncton. After that hoping that the new album rumours and then the eventual tour rumours are running rampant.
